Gaelic Theatre
The Gaelic Theatre is a split level multi purpose venue in Surry Hills, New South Wales, Australia. The theatre is located on the ground floor of INA House, close to Central railway station and was voted “Best Live Music Venue - NSW” at the 2007 Jack Awards. The theatre has a capacity of 800 and has hosted a number of international and Australian touring bands, among them The Strokes, The Libertines, The Darkness, Jet, Maroon 5, Hot Hot Heat, The Kills, MC5, The Wildhearts, American rock quintet The Used, Glenn Hughes (HTP/ex-Deep Purple/Trapeze), super FLORENCE jam, British India, The Mess Hall, Children Collide, You Am I, Battles and Captain Kickarse and the Awesomes, amongst others. Surry Hills is an inner-city suburb of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Surry Hills is immediately south-east of the Sydney central business district in the local government area of the City of Sydney. The Kills are an English-American rock duo formed by American singer Alison "VV" Mosshart and English guitarist Jamie "Hotel" Hince. They are signed to Domino Records. Devonshire Street Cemetery
The Devonshire Street Cemetery (also known as the Brickfield Cemetery or Sandhills Cemetery) was located between Eddy Avenue and Elizabeth Street, and between Chalmers and Devonshire Streets, at Brickfield Hill, in Sydney, Australia. It was consecrated in 1820. The Jewish section was used from 1832. By 1860, the cemetery was full, and it was closed in 1867. The Wildhearts
The Wildhearts are an English rock band, formed in 1989 in Newcastle upon Tyne. The band's sound is a mixture of hard rock and melodic pop music, often described in the music press as combining influences as diverse as the Beatles and 1980s-era Metallica. The Wildhearts achieved several top 20 singles and two top 10 albums in Britain, though they also faced difficulties with record companies and many internal problems often relating to drugs and depression. Hot Hot Heat is a Canadian indie rock band from Victoria, British Columbia, formed in 1999. The band was signed by Seattle label Sub Pop in 2001 and released its first EP, ''Knock Knock Knock'', and first full-length album, '' Make Up the Breakdown'', the following year. The band released five full-length albums, the last being the self-titled ''Hot Hot Heat'' in 2016.
