Gabriella Giammanco (born 13 June 1977) is an Italian politician and journalist. Biography Born in Palermo, Giammanco graduated in Communication Sciences and worked as a journalist for several local televisions and for TG4. Vice President of the Italy-USA Foundation since 2008. In 2008 and 2013 she was elected at Chamber of Deputies with The People of Freedom. In 2017 she was appointed press attaché of Forza Italia in Sicily. In 2018 she was elected at Italian Senate, where she is a member of the Committee of European Union. In 2019 she was a candidate at Elections to the European Parliament Elections to the European Parliament take place every five years by universal adult suffrage; with more than 400 million people eligible to vote, they are considered the second largest democratic elections in the world after India's. Italian Senate
The Senate of the Republic ( it, Senato della Repubblica), or simply the Senate ( it, Senato), is the upper house of the bicameral Italian Parliament (the other being the Chamber of Deputies). The two houses together form a perfect bicameral system, meaning they perform identical functions, but do so separately. Pursuant to the Articles 57, 58, and 59 of the Italian Constitution, the Senate has 200 elective members, of which 196 are elected from Italian constituencies, and 4 from Italian citizens living abroad.
