Gabriel Guerrero
Gabriel Guerrero Martinez (born December 11, 1993) is a Dominican professional baseball outfielder for the Kansas City Monarchs of the American Association of Professional Baseball. He has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Cincinnati Reds. He retired from the Monarchs on July 14, 2022. Career Seattle Mariners Guerrero signed with the Seattle Mariners as an international free agent on February 10, 2011. He made his professional debut that season for the Dominican Summer League Mariners. Guerrero returned to the DSL Mariners in 2012 and also played for the Arizona League Mariners. In 68 games, he hit .349/.393/.593 with 15 home runs. Playing for the Clinton LumberKings in 2013 he hit .271 with a 661 on-base plus slugging (OPS) and four home runs. Guerrero played the 2014 season with the High Desert Mavericks. In July he played in the All-Star Futures Game. He finished the season playing in 131 games, hitting .307 with 18 home runs. Outfielder
An outfielder is a person playing in one of the three defensive positions in baseball or softball, farthest from the batter. These defenders are the left fielder, the center fielder, and the right fielder. As an outfielder, their duty is to catch fly balls and ground balls then to return them to the infield for the out or before the runner advances, if there are any runners on the bases. As an outfielder, they normally play behind the six players located in the field. By convention, each of the nine defensive positions in baseball is numbered. The outfield positions are 7 (left field), 8 (center field) and 9 (right field). These numbers are shorthand designations useful in baseball scorekeeping and are not necessarily the same as the squad numbers worn on player uniforms. Clinton LumberKings
The Clinton LumberKings are a collegiate summer baseball team of the Prospect League. They are located in Clinton, Iowa, and play their home games at NelsonCorp Field. From 1956 to 2020, they were members of Minor League Baseball's Midwest League. With Major League Baseball's reorganization of the minor leagues after the 2020 season, Clinton was not selected to continue in affiliated baseball. Vladimir Guerrero Ramos Jr. (born March 16, 1999) is a Canadian-Dominican professional baseball first baseman and designated hitter for the Toronto Blue Jays of Major League Baseball (MLB). He is the son of former MLB player and Hall of Famer Vladimir Guerrero Sr., making his major league debut in April 2019. A right-handed batter and thrower, he is widely regarded as one of MLB's best active hitters. Born in Montreal, Guerrero Jr. was signed by the Blue Jays as an international free agent in 2015. Kansas City Monarchs (2021-present)
The Kansas City Monarchs are a professional baseball team based in Kansas City, Kansas. Formerly known as the Kansas City T-Bones, they are members of the American Association of Professional Baseball; which, in 2020, became designated as a Major League Baseball partner league. They have played their home games at Legends Field (formerly CommunityAmerica Ballpark) since 2003, when the team began as a member of the Northern League.
