Gabriel Grégoire
Gabriel Grégoire was a defensive lineman in the Canadian Football League. Grégoire went to high school at the Collège de Montréal, but played his junior football with the Verdun Maple Leafs. The and lineman joined the Montreal Alouettes in 1976 and played 5 seasons, for a total of 65 games, and three Grey Cup championships, one, the 65th Grey Cup, which he helped win in 1977. Sainte-Martine, Quebec
Sainte-Martine is a municipality in Beauharnois-Salaberry Regional County Municipality in the Montérégie region of Quebec, Canada. The population as of the Canada 2016 Census was 5,461. The municipality is made up of a large northern section and a small unattached southern area that was known as the municipality of Saint-Paul-de-Châteauguay until its merger with Sainte-Martine on September 9, 1999. CKAC is a French-language radio station located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Owned by Cogeco, the station operates as a commercial traffic information service branded as ''Radio Circulation 730''. Its studios are located at Place Bonaventure in Downtown Montreal, and its transmitter is located in Saint-Joseph-du-Lac. CKAC was officially launched on October 2, 1922, under the ownership of the local newspaper '' La Presse'', as the first ever Francophone radio station in North America. The 65th Grey Cup, also known as The Ice Bowl, was played on November 27, 1977, at Montreal's Olympic Stadium. The hometown Montreal Alouettes defeated the Edmonton Eskimos by a score of 41–6. Game Summary The 1977 Grey Cup was Canada's version of the Ice Bowl, as the playing surface was more ideal for ice hockey than football. A blizzard hit Montreal two days prior to the game, and stadium crews salted the field to melt the snow. But when the temperature plunged the next day, the melted snow turned into a sheet of ice. To combat the conditions, many Alouette players affixed staples to the bottom of their shoes in order to get good traction. This move was spearheaded by star defender Tony Proudfoot. The game was the third Grey Cup meeting in four years between the Alouettes and the Edmonton Eskimos. Defensive end (DE) is a defensive position in the sport of gridiron football. This position has designated the players at each end of the defensive line, but changes in formation (American football), formations over the years have substantially changed how the position is played. Collège De Montréal
The Collège de Montréal is a subsidized private high school for students attending grades 7–11 located in downtown Montreal, Quebec, Canada. A former Roman Catholic minor seminary, it was founded on June 1, 1767 as the ''Petit Séminaire'' of Montreal by the Sulpician Fathers. From 1773 to 1803, it was known as ''Collège Saint-Raphaël''. In the mid-19th century a number of former students went on to become activists for First Nations and Métis rights. They included Mohawk chief Joseph Onasakenrat and Métis leader Louis Riel.
