Gabby McGill
Gabby McGill (born 4 June 2000) is an English footballer who plays as a forward for Airdrieonians. McGill previously played youth football with York City and Middlesbrough, senior footballer with Dunfermline Athletic and had spells on loan with Edinburgh City and York City. Club career McGill, son of York City chairman Jason McGill, started his career with the Bootham Crescent club, playing for their youth squads over a three-year period. In July 2017, McGill was signed by EFL Championship side Middlesbrough on a two-year deal. After spending two years with the Middlesbrough youth sides, McGill was signed by Scottish Championship club Dunfermline Athletic on 30 May 2019, after the two clubs agreed a development fee. In October 2020, McGill joined Scottish League Two club Edinburgh City until January 2021. Forward (association Football)
Forwards (also known as attackers) are outfield positions in an association football team who play the furthest up the pitch and are therefore most responsible for scoring goals as well as assisting them. As with any attacking player, the role of the forward relies heavily on being able to create space for attack. National League North
The National League North, formerly Conference North, is a division of the National League in England, immediately below the National League division. Along with the National League South, it is at the second level of the National League System, and at the sixth tier overall of the English football league system. It consists of teams located in Northern England, Norfolk and the English Midlands. The 2020–21 National League season, known as the Vanarama National League for sponsorship reasons, is the sixth season under English football's new title of the National League, the eighteenth season consisting of three divisions, and the forty-second season overall. The 2020–21 Scottish League Two was the 26th season in the current format of 10 teams in the fourth-tier of Scottish football. The season commenced later than usual on 17 October, being played over a shortened 27-game period due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The bottom team entered a two-legged play-off against the winners of the Pyramid play-off between the Highland League and Lowland League champions, determine which team competes in League Two in the 2021–22 season. Scottish League One
The Scottish League One, known as cinch League One for sponsorship reasons, is the third tier of the Scottish Professional Football League, the league competition for men's professional football clubs in Scotland. The Scottish League One was established in July 2013, after the Scottish Professional Football League was formed by a merger of the Scottish Premier League and Scottish Football League. Format Teams receive three points for a win and one point for a draw. No points are awarded for a loss. Teams are ranked by total points, then goal difference, and then goals scored. At the end of each season, the club with the most points is crowned league champion. If points are equal, the goal difference determines the winner.
