''Goede tijden, slechte tijden'' (, ), also known as ''GTST'' or simply ''Goede tijden'', is the longest-running Netherlands, Dutch soap opera, which began on 1 October 1990 on RTL4. The programme was the first daily (every workday) soap in the Netherlands and Europe. The soap is produced by Joop van den Ende and to date over 6,300 episodes have been broadcast. It was inspired by the Australia, Australian soap ''The Restless Years'', although it started following its own course during the third season. GTST is broadcast Monday to Friday at 20:00. At its peak, around 1.5 million viewers watched each episode. Nowadays, the show is watched linearly by a total of 800.000 viewers, with an additional 300.000 viewers on streaming platform Videoland. It is the highest-rated soap opera in the Netherlands. The soap mainly revolves around the lives of the families Alberts, Sanders, De Jong, Van Houten and Bouwhuis. Babette Van Veen
Babette van Veen (born 30 April 1968) is a Dutch actress and singer. She is known for her role as Linda Dekker in the soap opera ''Goede tijden, slechte tijden''. Career In 1989, she made her film debut in the film ''Blueberry Hill'' by Belgian film director Robbe De Hert. She also appeared in the 1995 film ''Brylcream Boulevard'' and the 1999 film ''Nachtvlinder''. Van Veen and the West Coast Big Band from The Hague, Netherlands released the album ''Winter'' in 2005. Katja Schuurman
Katja Schuurman (born 19 February 1975) is a Dutch actress, singer and television personality. Early life She grew up as the eldest daughter of a Dutch father and a Surinamese mother, born in Curaçao. Her sister Birgit is also a singer and actress. Acting career 1992-1999 Schuurman made her acting debut in 1992 on the television series ''Uit de school geklapt''. Maria Louise Clara Albertine Fluitsma (born 12 December 1946), known as Marlous Fluitsma, is a Dutch actress, known for her roles in Dutch films and on television in various Dutch language series. ''Gute Zeiten, schlechte Zeiten'' ("Good Times, Bad Times"), often abbreviated ''GZSZ'', is a long-running German television soap opera, first broadcast on RTL in 1992.
