GR 20
The GR 20 (or ''fra li monti'') is a GR footpath that crosses the Mediterranean island of Corsica running approximately north–south, described by the outdoor writer Paddy Dillon as "one of the top trails in the world". The whole trail is about 180 km long with 12,000 m of elevation gain, clearly waymarked throughout, the walk for most of the 10,000–20,000 hikers per year takes around 15 days. The trail is considered to be the most difficult of all the GR routes and consists of two parts: the northern part, between Calenzana and Vizzavona and the southern part, between Vizzavona and Conca. Vizzavona is considered the middle as there is a train station, and therefore is an accessible point for walkers beginning or ending a walk consisting of half the route. Aiguilles De Bavella
The Aiguilles de Bavella ( co, I Forchi di Bavedda; Needles of Bavella) are rocky spikes of red granite that dominate the hill of the same name on the island of Corsica in France. At 1218 m, the hill connects the to the east coast of Corsica. This massif is smaller yet much more popular than the "aiguilles de Popolasca". The site is characterized by jagged peaks, large rock walls and pine trees twisted by the wind. Orla Perć
Orla Perć (English: ''Eagle's Path'') is a tourist path in the Tatra Mountains in southern Poland. It is considered one of most difficult and dangerous public paths in the entire Tatras (an equivalent to Grade 2 Scramble) and is therefore a suitable route only for experienced climbers. The path is marked with red signs. Since it was established, at least 112 people have lost their lives on the route. Technical data The route is located in the centre of the High Tatras. The total length of the accessible route is 4.5 km. Total walking time (summer, depending on trails conditions) varies between 6 and 8 hours. The highest point is Kozi Wierch at 2291 m AMSL. François D'Haene (born 24 December 1985 in Lille) is a French elite athlete who specializes in ultra running and mountain running. A gîte () is a type of accommodation that comes in a variety of forms, ranging from a gîtes d'etape, a hostel, for walkers and cyclists, to a gîte rural, a holiday home in the country available for rent, often an accessory dwelling unit. Ajaccio
Ajaccio (, , ; French: ; it, Aiaccio or ; co, Aiacciu , locally: ; la, Adiacium) is a French commune, prefecture of the department of Corse-du-Sud, and head office of the ''Collectivité territoriale de Corse'' (capital city of Corsica).
