GMT355
The Chevrolet Colorado, and its counterpart, the GMC Canyon, are series of compact and later mid-sized pickup trucks marketed by American automaker General Motors. They were introduced in 2004 to replace the Chevrolet S-10 and GMC S-15/Sonoma compact pickups. GM GMT Platform
GMT (General Motors Truck) is a nomenclature used by General Motors to designate multiple vehicle platforms. In use since the early 1980s, the GMT nomenclature is used for light trucks, full-size SUVs, and vans, along with several medium-duty trucks. Hummer H3T
The Hummer H3 is an off-road vehicle that was produced from 2005 to 2010 by General Motors. The smallest model of the Hummer lineup, it was offered as a 5-door SUV or a 4-door pickup truck known as the H3T. Unlike the larger H1 and H2 models, the H3 was not developed by AM General. It was introduced for the 2006 model year, based on a modified GMT355 that underpinned the Chevrolet Colorado/GMC Canyon compact pickup trucks that were also built at GM's Shreveport Operations in Shreveport, Louisiana and the Port Elizabeth plant in South Africa. General Motors Atlas Engine
Atlas is a name for a family of modern inline piston engines for trucks from General Motors, used in the GMT355 and GMT360 platforms. The series debuted in 2002 with the Oldsmobile Bravada, and is also used in the Buick Rainier, the Chevrolet TrailBlazer and Colorado, the GMC Envoy and Canyon, the Hummer H3, Isuzu Ascender and i-370, and the Saab 9-7X. The engines use GM's Vortec name, and Straight-4, Straight-5, and Straight-6 engines are all part of the same family, sharing the same manufacturing equipment, rods, pistons, valves, and other parts. The Isuzu MU-X is a mid-size SUV produced by Isuzu. It is a body-on-frame SUV based on the D-Max, and the successor to the MU-7. The name "MU-X" stands for "Multi Utility – eXtreme". __TOC__ Predecessor: Isuzu MU-7 (''510''; 2004) The predecessor to the MU-X, the Isuzu MU-7 is an Isuzu D-Max pickup-based SUV with a three-row seating arrangement. Isuzu D-Max
The Isuzu D-Max is a pickup truck manufactured since 2002 by Isuzu Motors. A successor of the Isuzu Faster/KB, the first and second-generation model shares its platform with the Chevrolet Colorado. The third-generation model shares its platform with the third-generation Mazda BT-50, which is produced in the same Isuzu plant in Thailand. Rayong
Rayong ( th, ระยอง, ) is a city (''thesaban nakhon'') on the east coast of the Gulf of Thailand and the capital of Rayong province. Shreveport Operations
Shreveport Operations, officially the Shreveport Assembly and Stamping Plant, was a General Motors vehicle factory in Shreveport, Louisiana. The factory opened in 1981 and produced the company's compact pickup trucks along with Moraine Assembly in Dayton, Ohio. At one time 3,000 employees were on the payroll. Construction of the plant began in 1978. In 2002 expansion included a new stamping facility. The plant closed in August 2012 with the last truck being produced, a white Chevrolet Colorado. On the front of the vehicle, a banner read, "4,853,693rd". The Final vehicle that was assembled at the plant. At the time just over 800 hourly and salaried workers were employed there. Elio Motors had announced plans to begin using the facility in 2014 to manufacture a new three-wheeled vehicle. The production date has since been moved back to 2017.
