Falcons FC
Falcons () are birds of prey in the genus ''Falco'', which includes about 40 species. Falcons are widely distributed on all continents of the world except Antarctica, though closely related raptors did occur there in the Eocene. Adult falcons have thin, tapered wings, which enable them to fly at high speed and change direction rapidly. Fledgling falcons, in their first year of flying, have longer flight feathers, which make their configuration more like that of a general-purpose bird such as a broad wing. This makes flying easier while learning the exceptional skills required to be effective hunters as adults. The falcons are the largest genus in the Falconinae subfamily of Falconidae, which itself also includes another subfamily comprising caracaras and a few other species. Bakau
Bakau is a town on the Atlantic coast of Gambia, west of Gambia's capital city of Banjul. It is known for its botanical gardens, its crocodile pool ''Bakau Kachikally'' and for the beaches at Cape Point. Bakau is the first major suburb outside Banjul and the most developed town in the Gambia. Close to Bakau and Banjul is Gambia's largest city, Serekunda. History Legend has it that Bakau grew up around the holy crocodile pool in Kachikally, the central district of Bakau. Steve Biko FC
The Steve Biko Football Club is a football club from Bakau in the West Africa state of Gambia, located near the capital of Banjul. They played in the GFA League First Division, which was the highest league in Gambian football. They won the GFA Cup in 2000. While the football club qualified for the 2002 CAF Cup, they declined to participate. The Steve Biko Football Club was named after the murdered South African civil rights activist Steve Biko. Steve Biko was murdered by Apartheid regime government. Founded in 1978, the club initially began playing in the third division. They climbed the ranks of the league to achieve second place in 1983. Serrekunda East Mini Stadium
Serekunda (proper: Sayerr Kunda or Sere Kunda, ar, سيريكوندا, sometimes spelled Serrekunda) is the largest urban centre in The Gambia. It is situated close to the Atlantic coast, south-west of the capital, Banjul, and is formed of nine villages which have grown together into a larger urban area. History and toponymy Sayerr Jobe, the founder of Serekunda, was a 19th-century lamane originally from the Sine-Saloum region of Senegal. He migrated to the Gambia in the mid 19th Century and is believed to have initially settled around Jinack Island in Banjul, before relocating to the southern bank of the country (near Sukuta) where he established Serrekunda. Gambia Ports Authority Football Club is a Gambian football club based in Banjul and sponsored by the Gambia Ports Authority. They play in the top division in Gambian football, the GFA League First Division. History The Gambia Ports Authority was established in 1973 and the core of their players were snatched from Real de Banjul. It became one of the best clubs in the country with players like Goalkeeper Saho, Alhaji Sarr, Kabba Ceesay, to name a few.
