György Gát
György Gát (born 5 February 1947, in Budapest, Hungary) (sometimes credited as George Gat) is a Hungarian television director and producer. He is also a regular lecturer at ELTE University in Budapest. Biography Gat's first hit was the crime-comedy TV series "Linda" (1984–1989). "Linda" starred his wife Nóra Görbe. It was during the pre-production of "Linda" that Gát became Hungary's first independent television producer - a position that at the time the regime did not acknowledge. He subsequently created series "Angyalbőrben" (1990–1991), "Familia Kft." (1991–1997), "TV a város szélén" (1998), "SztárVár" (2005) and the animated series "Szerencsi fel!" (2004). In 2008 he co-wrote and co-directed a sequel to animated movie Vuk (film), called "A Kis Vuk" (in English: A Fox's Tale ''A Fox's Tale'' is a 2008 Hungarian/British animated film. Nóra Görbe (born 3 September 1956) is a Hungarian pop singer and actress. Life * She is the daughter of legendary film actor János Görbe. Hungarian Jews
The history of the Jews in Hungary dates back to at least the Kingdom of Hungary, with some records even predating the Hungarian conquest of the Carpathian Basin in 895 CE by over 600 years. Written sources prove that Jewish communities lived in the medieval Kingdom of Hungary and it is even assumed that several sections of the heterogeneous Magyar tribes, Hungarian tribes practiced Judaism. Jewish officials served the king during the early 13th century reign of Andrew II of Hungary, Andrew II. From the second part of the 13th century, the general religious tolerance decreased and Hungary's policies became similar to the treatment of the Jewish population in Western Europe. A Fox's Tale
''A Fox's Tale'' is a 2008 Hungarian/British animated film. The film's original Hungarian title is ''Kis Vuk''. It is the sequel to the 1981 film ''The Little Fox''. The English-language voice cast includes Freddie Highmore, Miranda Richardson, Bill Nighy and Sienna Miller. It was theatrically released in Hungary on April 17, 2008 and in the United States in late 2009. For ten years, the English dub of the film was never officially released to the general public as it was unavailable, with the only publicly released media to feature the English dub being the international trailer. Origo (stylised as ORIGO, previously as rigo'') is a major Hungarian-language news website founded in 1998 by telecommunications company MATÁV. In 2018, Origo was the third most visited Hungarian website. Since 2015, Origo has been regularly criticised by the left for its uncritical support of the Fidesz political party. Multiple critics described the website as "state-run propaganda", prone to operate with the same keywords for emotional mobilization as other news outlets with close ties to Fidesz. ''The Little Fox'', known in Hungary as ''Vuk'', is a 1981 Hungarian animated film produced by Pannónia Filmstúdió, based on the novel '' Vuk'' by István Fekete. The film is directed by Attila Dargay and written by Attila Dargay, István Imre and Ede Tarbay, and released in 1981. A computer animated and widely panned sequel, ''A Fox's Tale'', was released in 2008.
