The men's horizontal bar competition at the 2012 Summer Olympics was held at the North Greenwich Arena on 28 July and 7 August. It featured 70 competitors from 33 nations. Epke Zonderland of the Netherlands won the event, his nation's first victory in the horizontal bar and first medal in any Olympic gymnastics event since 1928. Fabian Hambüchen of Germany took silver, while Zou Kai of China earned bronze. Three gymnastics disciplines were contested at the 2012 Olympic Games in London: artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics and trampolining. The trampoline events were held at the North Greenwich Arena (normally called The O2 Arena) from 3 to 4 August; the artistic events were also held at the North Greenwich Arena, from 28 July to 7 August. Emin Nadirovich Garibov (russian: Эмин Надирович Гарибов; az, Emin Nadir oğlu Qəribov; born 8 September 1990 in Moscow) is a retired Russian artistic gymnast of Azerbaijani descent. He is the two-time (2013, 2012) European Horizontal Bar champion. Personal life Garibov is the younger son of Azerbaijani parents Nadir Garibov and Natavan Garibova. He has an elder brother named Anar. Emin also plays football. Danell Leyva
Danell Johan Leyva (born October 30, 1991) is a Cuban-American former gymnast who competed for the United States. He is the 2012 Olympic individual all-around bronze medalist and 2016 Olympic parallel bars and horizontal bar silver medalist. He is also the 2011 US national all-around gold medalist and the 2011 world champion on the parallel bars. In gymnastics, Leyva was a specialist on parallel bars and horizontal bar, having his own signature move (jam-dislocate-hop to undergrips) on the latter. Qualifications for Men's artistic gymnastic competitions at the 2012 Summer Olympics were held at the North Greenwich Arena on July 28. The results of the qualification determined the qualifiers to the finals: 8 teams in the team final, 24 gymnasts in the all-around final, and 8 gymnasts in each of 6 apparatus finals. The competition was divided to 3 subdivisions. The first subdivision took place at 11:00 British Summer Time (UTC+1); the second and third subdivision at 15:30 BST and 20:00 BST respectively. Jonathan Alan Horton (born December 31, 1985) is a former American artistic gymnast. He is the 2008 Olympic silver medalist on high bar, the 2010 World all-around bronze medalist, a two-time Olympian, a two-time U.S. National All-Around Champion, and a 17-time medalist at the U.S. National Championships. At the 2008 Olympics, he also won a bronze medal with his U.S. teammates in the team competition.
