The Gusenbauer government (german: Bundesregierung Gusenbauer) was sworn in on 11 January 2007 and left office on 2 December 2008. Heinz Fischer
Heinz Fischer GColIH OMRI RSerafO GCollSE (; born 9 October 1938) is a former Austrian politician. He took office as President of Austria on 8 July 2004 and was re-elected for a second and last term on 25 April 2010, leaving office on 8 July 2016. Fischer previously served as minister of science from 1983 to 1987 and as president of the National Council of Austria from 1990 to 2002. A member of the Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ), he suspended his party membership for the duration of his presidency. Early life Fischer was born in Graz, Styria, which had recently become part of Nazi Germany, following Germany’s annexation of Austria in March 1938. Fischer attended a grammar school which focused on humanities and graduated in 1956. He studied law at the University of Vienna, earning a doctorate in 1961. Andrea Kdolsky
Andrea Kdolsky (née Pelucha, born 2 November 1962) is an Austrian physician and retired politician (Non-party, until 2023 ÖVP) who was Minister for Health, Family and Youth in the Gusenbauer government. Kdolsky was born and grew up in Vienna. She originally began studying law and economics, but ultimately completed a Doctor of Medicine in 1993 at the University of Vienna. She subsequently worked as an anaesthesiologist. From 11 January 2007 to 2 December 2008 Kdolsky was Minister for Health, Family and Youth in the cabinet of Alfred Gusenbauer. She was ÖVP Minister. Doris Bures
Doris Bures (born 3 August 1962) is an Austrian politician of the Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ) who serves as the Second President of the Austrian National Council. From September 2014 to November 2017, she was its President. She served as Minister of Transport, Innovation and Technology from 2008 to 2014. Education and early career Bures attended elementary school and a commercial school. She became a federal secretary of the International Union of Socialist Youth in 1980 and worked in a project with unemployed young people between 1985 and 1986. Norbert Darabos (born 31 May 1964) is an Austrian politician. Currently, he serves as the president of the Austrian Study Centre for Peace and Conflict Resolution (ASPR). From 2007 to 2013, he served as Minister of National Defence under the chancellors Gusenbauer and Faymann. From 2015 to 2016, he was secretary general of the Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ). Josef Pröll (born 14 September 1968, in Stockerau, Austria) is an Austrian former politician who was the chairman of the Austrian People's Party from 2008 until 2011. He was Vice Chancellor and Minister of Finance. Previously, he was the Federal Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment, and Water Management. He was also in charge of rethinking the party's positions and developing a more liberal socio-economic stance.
