''Gus'' is a 1976 American Sports film, sports comedy film released by Walt Disney Pictures, Walt Disney Productions, distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, Buena Vista Distribution, directed by Vincent McEveety and starring Ed Asner, Don Knotts and Gary Grimes. Its center character is Gus, a football-playing mule. The film did well at the box office and was released on home video in 1981. Gulder Ultimate Search (also called GUS) is a Nigerian reality television series, created and sponsored by Nigerian Breweries Plc to promote the Gulder Lager Beer. The first season premiered in 2004. The GUS series is also the very first 100% local content reality television programme in Nigeria and it is a survival type reality programme that highlights the struggle of Contestants (10–30 persons, depending on the reference edition), their struggles against themselves and the wild i.e. nature and their search for a hidden treasure that brings to the last person standing instant fame and fortune. Guster
Guster is an American alternative rock band from Boston, Massachusetts, United States. Founding members Adam Gardner, Ryan Miller, and Brian Rosenworcel began practice sessions while attending Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts, and formed the band in 1991. The members met during the freshman Wilderness Orientation program in August of that year, playing publicly together as a trio two months later at the Midnight Cafe coffee house set in the common area of the Lewis Hall dormitory. While attending Tufts, the band lived at 139 College Avenue in Somerville, Massachusetts. The band stayed "underground" for its first two full-length albums, ''Parachute'' (1994) and '' Goldfly'' (1997), but broke into the musical mainstream in 1999 with its third studio album ''Lost and Gone Forever'', featuring the single "Fa Fa", which made it onto the Adult Top 40. Groupes urbains de sécurité (GUS) (also known as "Croatia") ( en, Urban Security Groups) is a defunct Moroccan special police unit which dealt with urban matters using the "rapid intervention approach." Background GUS was established by the Direction Générale de la Sûreté Nationale (DGSN) (the main national police body) on October 17, 2005. The initiative lied within the scope of a general reform, whose principle was "the Police force, near to you for your safety". In October 2006, GUS comprised between 4,000 and 5,000 agents. The GUS were considered first-aid workers and all members spoke English. They were attached to arrondissements. The Gus-class LCAC code Project 1205 Skat was a medium-sized assault hovercraft operated by the Soviet Navy from 1969 until the early 1990s. Configuration The Gus class was a military version of the Soviet Skate class 50 passenger hovercraft, and was designed to transport infantry and light equipment. Between 1969 and 1974, 32 Gus-class assault hovercraft were constructed. They were deployed to all Soviet naval fleets except the Northern Fleet, and were used extensively along the Amur River border with China. Three Gus-class LCAC could be carried by the . GUS was an abbreviation of Great Universal Stores, the company's name before 2001, while it was also known as the ''Glorious Gussies'' amongst stockbrokers.
