Guru ( sa, गुरु, IAST: ''guru;'' Pali'': garu'') is a Sanskrit term for a "mentor, guide, expert, or master" of certain knowledge or field. In pan-Indian traditions, a guru is more than a teacher: traditionally, the guru is a reverential figure to the disciple (or '' shisya'' in Sanskrit, literally ''seeker f knowledge or truth'' or student, with the guru serving as a "counselor, who helps mold values, shares experiential knowledge as much as literal knowledge, an exemplar in life, an inspirational source and who helps in the spiritual evolution of a student". ''Gurudeva'' is a 2005 Indian romantic drama film directed by Jaffer. The music by Sabesh–Murali and produced by K. Kaliyamurthy. The film stars Jai Akash, along with Pranathi, Nassar, and Riyaz Khan. The film was filmed simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu as ''Guru''. This film was released on 1 April 2005 under the banner of Sriselva Muthukumara Movies. Plot The movie is about a street rowdy's love for a rich heiress. Guru (Jai Akash) is a street rowdy who hangs out in a mechanic shop owned by Mari (Nassar), a handicapped man who is the advisor to Guru. They lead a happy life. Deva (Pranathi) falls in love with him. Later they both decide to marry. Gurudev (film)
''Gurudev'' is a 1993 Bollywood action film produced and directed by Vinod Mehra. The film started production in the late 1980s and was left incomplete after Vinod Mehra's death in October 1990. Raj Sippy took over as director and completed it for release in 1993. The film stars Rishi Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Sridevi in lead roles. Pran, Danny Denzongpa, Kader Khan, Kiran Kumar appear in supporting roles. Plot Inspector Dev and Gaurav, fondly called "Guru" are childhood friends. While Dev is with the police, Parshuram, works with the underworld and is the right-hand man of Khakan, a criminal don who is Guru's father. When Inspector Khan is assigned the case of apprehending Khakan, his first suspect is Dev himself. Dev must prove to Khan that he is earnest and will not hesitate to arrest Khakan. Gurudev Siddha Peeth
Gurudev Siddha Peeth is an Indian ashram run by the Gurudev Siddha Peeth Trust and serving the Siddha Yoga path. It is situated between the villages of Ganeshpuri and Vajreshwari in the state of Maharashtra, north-east of Mumbai. On the Siddha Yoga path it is known as the "mother ashram" because it is where Siddha Yoga began. History The ashram's origins date back to the guru known as Bhagawan Nityananda, who had been in the nearby village of Ganeshpuri since 1936. Before he died in 1961, Nityananda is said to have told his devotee, Swami Muktananda, to build an ashram near Ganeshpuri on land that Nityananda gave him. Nityananda prophesied that the ashram would become "very big and beautiful" and would attract people from all over the world. Swami Muktananda established the ashram and called it Sri Gurudev Ashram, in honour of Nityananda. In 1978, Muktananda changed the name to Gurudev Siddha Peeth.
