Gunahon Ka Devta (1967 Film)
''Gunahon Ka Devta '' ( ''Deity of the Sins'') is a 1967 Hindi-language drama film, produced and directed by Devi Sharma under the Janta Chitra banner. It stars Jeetendra, Rajshree and music composed by Shankar Jaikishan. Plot Kundan is a happy-go-lucky guy and a vagabond with a golden heart. He dissipates money for it and makes debt from a devious money lender Lala Hakumat Rai. Once, Kundan is acquainted with a spitfire girl Kesar in a squabble and falls for her. So, he sends his mother with the marriage proposal when she is mortified by Kundan’s debauchery nature. Parallelly, Lala keeps an evil eye on Kesar and conspires to marry her. Leela Chitnis (''née'' Nagarkar; 9 September 1909 – 14 July 2003) was an Indian actress in the Indian film industry, active from 1930s to 1980s. In her early years she starred as a romantic lead, but she is best remembered for her later roles playing a virtuous and upright mother to leading stars. Early life She was born in a Marathi-speaking Brahmin family, in Dharwad, Karnataka. Her father was an English literature professor. She was one of the first educated film actresses. Mukesh is considered to be one of the most popular and acclaimed playback singers of the Hindi film industry.
