Gun-Shy (2003 Film)
''Gun-Shy'' (german: Schussangst) is a 2003 German crime drama film directed by Dito Tsintsadze. Plot The conscientious objector Lukas (Fabian Hinrichs) is a "meals-on-wheels" delivery man and leads a rather sad and lonely life. One day, however, he encounters a strange girl on a bus, Isabella (Lavinia Wilson), who slips him a "Help me!" note. Lukas ends up falling in love with Isabella. But what he initially considers to be a romantic relationship between her and an older man quickly turns out to be the cause of the message in the tram. He finds out that Isabella's stepfather sexually abused her, even though she tries to forget this. The more pacifist Lukas is experiencing a period of rethinking that ends in the decision to get a gun to protect or save Isabella from her stepfather. Dito Tsintsadze
Dito Tsintsadze ( ka, დიტო ცინცაძე; born 2 March 1957) is a Georgian film director and screenwriter. He has directed thirteen films since 1988. His film '' Lost Killers'' was screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2000 Cannes Film Festival. In 2007 he was a member of the jury at the 29th Moscow International Film Festival. Starting from the year 1996 he lives and works in Berlin. Biography From 1975 to 1981 he studied film directing at the Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film University under Eldar Shengelaia and Otar Iosseliani. Until 1989 he worked as an assistant director in the Kartuli Pilmi film studio. In 1990 he made his first feature film ''Guests'', then worked for the private film production company Shvidkatsa. Fabian Hinrichs (born 1974) is a German actor. He is probably best known for his performance as Hans Scholl in ''Sophie Scholl – The Final Days'', which was nominated for Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. Axel Prahl (born 26 March 1960 in Eutin) is a German actor and musician. Prahl, born in Eutin, grew up in nearby Neustadt in Holstein. After his A-levels, Prahl started studying music and mathematics, but then went on to acting school in Kiel. His acting debut came in 1994 in a television series for ZDF. Aside from his film acting, for which he has won several accolades including two Adolf Grimme Awards, Prahl has starred in 23 episodes of the German television crime series ''Tatort''.
