Guilty (2015 Film)
''Talvar'' (), released internationally as ''Guilty'', is a 2015 Indian Hindi-language thriller drama film directed by Meghna Gulzar and written by Vishal Bhardwaj. Produced by Bhardwaj and Vineet Jain, the film is based on the 2008 Noida double murder case involving a teenage girl and her family's servant. Starring Irrfan Khan, Konkona Sen Sharma and Neeraj Kabi, the film follows the investigation of a case from three different perspectives in which her parents are either guilty or innocent of the murder charges by the police investigation, the first Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe and an investigation by a different CBI team. It was conceived by Bhardwaj after he met some of the police officials who were investigating the case. Meghna Gulzar
Meghna Gulzar is an Indian writer, director and producer. She is best known for directing of Bollywood film Raazi in 2018. After debuting as a screenwriter with her father's 1999 directorial ''Hu Tu Tu'', Meghna directed her first film, the drama '' Filhaal...'' (2002), though did not achieve success in direction that decade. Following an eight-year sabbatical, she directed the critically acclaimed ''Talvar'' (2015), which earned her Best Director nominations despite underperforming at the box office. Rashomon Effect
The Rashomon effect is a storytelling and writing method in cinema in which an event is given contradictory interpretations or descriptions by the individuals involved, thereby providing different perspectives and points of view of the same incident. The term, derived from the 1950 Japanese film ''Rashomon'', is used to describe the phenomenon of the unreliability of eyewitnesses. Effect The effect is named after Akira Kurosawa's 1950 film ''Rashomon'', in which a murder is described in four contradictory ways by four witnesses. Sohum Shah (actor)
Sohum Shah is an India actor, producer, and entrepreneur who works in Hindi films. He made his firstand screen appearance in 2009 with the film ''Baabarr'', where he played the antagonist and in 2012 with the National Award-winning film ''Ship of Theseus'' which was produced under his banner, Recyclewala Films. Victim blaming occurs when the victim of a crime or any wrongful act is held entirely or partially at fault for the harm that befell them. There is historical and current prejudice against the victims of domestic violence and sex crimes, such as the greater tendency to blame victims of rape than victims of robbery if victims and perpetrators knew each other prior to the commission of the crime.
