Guardian (DC Comics)
Guardian (James Jacob "Jim" Harper) is a DC Comics superhero introduced in April 1942 by writer/artist Joe Simon and artist Jack Kirby. Guardian resembles the earlier Kirby and Simon character Captain America (first published 13 months earlier by Marvel Comics), as he had no superpower (ability), super powers and carried an indestructible shield. When Kirby returned to DC in 1970, he eventually re-established the character as a supporting one in the ''Superman'' franchise: as a clone who was head of security for Project Cadmus. In the Arrowverse series ''Supergirl (TV series), Supergirl'', Jimmy Olsen, James Olsen, portrayed by Mehcad Brooks, became the superhero Guardian. ''The Guardian Legend'' is a 1988 hybrid action-adventure/shoot 'em up video game developed by Compile for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). It is the sequel to the 1986 MSX game ''Guardic'', and was published and released in Japan by Irem in 1988, in North America by Broderbund in 1989, and in Europe by Nintendo in 1990. It incorporates gameplay elements from other games such as ''The Legend of Zelda'', '' Metroid'', and '' 1942''. In the game, the player controls a lone protagonist, the Guardian, who is on a quest to destroy a large alien-infested world named Naju before it reaches the planet Earth. The player must deactivate ten safety devices scattered throughout Naju, thus activating the alien world's self-destruct sequence. The player explores Naju in a non-linear fashion and can acquire different weapons during the course of the game. ''Destiny'' is an online-only multiplayer first-person shooter video game developed by Bungie and previously published by Activision. ''Destiny'' is now self-published by Bungie after separating from Activision in 2019. It was released worldwide on September 9, 2014, for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One consoles. ''Destiny'' marked Bungie's first new console franchise since the ''Halo'' series, and it was the first game in a ten-year agreement between Bungie and Activision. Wonder Mountain's Guardian
Wonder Mountain's Guardian (also known as ''Guardian'' or ''WMG''; during Halloween Haunt known as ''Zombies 4D'') is a 4D, interactive dark ride roller coaster at the Canada's Wonderland amusement park located in Vaughan, Ontario, Canada. Park management first proposed a dark ride located inside Wonder Mountain around 2004. Technology and budget limitations at the time delayed the project's planning and design stages until 2011. The steel track was manufactured by Art Engineering; it is approximately long and has a maximum height of about . The ride also features one of the largest drop tracks in the world reaching a height of . Triotech designed the ride's interactive 3D animations, which are accompanied by other special effects such as wind, adding the fourth dimension.
