Grupo Desportivo de Maputo, usually known as Desportivo de Maputo, Desportivo Maputo or by the acronym GDM, is an association football club from Maputo, Mozambique. History The club was founded on May 31, 1921, as ''Grupo Desportivo de Lourenço Marques'' by Professor Sá Couto, José Maria Rodrigues, Alfredo Fragoso, Américo Costa, Martinho Carvalho Durão and Professor Cabanelas. In 1976, after Mozambique's independence from Portugal, the club was renamed to ''Grupo Desportivo de Maputo''. The club's logo was also changed. 1925 Desportivo won the District Championship of Lourenço Marques, a competition held between 1922 and 1961. A further eleven wins followed. In 1957 Desportivo achieved its first of altogether eight Mozambican championships 1956, which was held first in 1956. The club won its last national championship in 2006. BCC Lions Football Club (Benue Cement Company Lions Football Club) is a Nigerian football team based in Gboko, Benue State, that competes in the Nigeria Amateur League, and plays its home games at the J. S. Tarka Stadium. History BCC Lions was founded in 1982 by the owner of Benue Cement Company, Aliko Dangote. BCC Lions was the first team in Northern Nigeria to win the Nigeria Challenge Cup (now known as the Nigeria FA Cup) in 1989. The game was played at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium, Bauchi and the only goal of the match scored by Aham Nwankwo. The club went on to win the 1993, 1994, 1997 editions of the Challenge Cup as well. After winning the Challenge Cup the club won the first edition of the Mandela Cup in 1990. In the Biblical Book of Judges, Jair or Yair ( he, יָאִיר ''Yā’īr'', "he enlightens") was a man from Gilead of the Tribe of Manasseh, east of the River Jordan, who judged Israel for 22 years, after the death of Tola, who had ruled of 23 years. His inheritance was in Gilead through the line of Machir, the son of Manasseh. Yair was the son of Segub, the son of Hezron through the daughter of Machir (1 Chronicles 2). According to Judges 10:3–5, Yair had thirty sons, who rode thirty ass colts, and controlled 30 cities in Gilead which came to be known as Havoth-Yair (Judges 10:4; cf. 23 towns in 1 Chronicles 2:22).
