Gregory Goodridge
Gregory Ronald St Clair Goodridge (born 10 July 1971 in Barbados) is a former professional footballer. He has captained the Barbados national team and played professionally in the English Football League. Club career Nicknamed ''Lalu'', Goodridge, a pacy winger, signed an 18-month contract with Torquay United on 7 February 1994, but due to work permit problems had to wait until 24 March to complete his signing from Barbados side Lambada F.C. the same team that Torquay United manager Don O'Riordan would return to a year later to sign Rodney Jack. O'Riordan was notified about Goodridge and Jack by the Lambada English coach Kevin Millard who later sent other talented players from the Caribbean to O'Riordan during his years as manager in Ireland with Galway United FC and Sligo Rovers FC. Barbados
Barbados is an island country in the Lesser Antilles of the West Indies, in the Caribbean region of the Americas, and the most easterly of the Caribbean Islands. Scott Colcombe
Scott Colcombe (born 15 December 1971) is an English former professional footballer. Colcombe began his career as an apprentice with his local side West Bromwich Albion, turning professional in July 1990. He was released without making his league debut at the end of the following season, joining Torquay United in August 1991. He made his debut on the opening day of the following season, playing in Torquay's 3–1 win at home to Hartlepool United. He played in the following game, a 3–0 defeat away to Preston North End, but was substituted and replaced by Paul Holmes for the next game. He established himself in the second half of the season, but was only on the bench as the 1992–93 season began. Plainmoor
Plainmoor is an association football stadium located in the Plainmoor suburb of Torquay, Devon, England. Since 1921, the stadium has been the home of Torquay United Football Club, who currently compete in the National League, the fifth tier of English football. During the first half of the 2018-19 National League South season, the stadium also hosted Truro City games. History At the time of Torquay United's formation in 1899, Plainmoor was the home of Torquay Athletic Rugby Football Club. In 1904, the rugby club secured the lease of the Recreation Ground, where United had been playing, and United's Torquay and District League rivals Ellacombe moved into the vacated site at Plainmoor, leaving United homeless.
