Greg "Fingers" Taylor
Greg "Fingers" Taylor (born June 3, 1952) is an American harmonica player, best known for his work with Jimmy Buffett's Coral Reefer Band. Career Greg Taylor was born in Wichita, Kansas, June 3, 1952 where he attended Wichita North High School. Taylor and Buffett met in 1970 when Taylor was a student at The University of Southern Mississippi. Soon after the two met, Taylor joined Larry Raspberry and The Highsteppers. In 1974, Buffett called Taylor to ask him to join the first official Coral Reefer Band. Taylor continued to play in the band until 2000. Jimmy Buffett was booked to open for the Association at Arkansas State University in the Fall of 1972. Fingers Taylor appeared with JB that night. They were well received by the crowd. Taylor's nickname, "Fingers", was given to him in 1969 by John "Johnny Rock" Buffaloe (so nicknamed by Taylor) during their time in The Buttermilk Blues Band in Jackson, Mississippi. Gregory Vaughan Taylor (born 15 January 1990) is an English professional footballer who plays for club Cambridge United. He is a central defender who has played at left back for some of his career. He has also played in central midfield. Club career Taylor was born in Bedford, Bedfordshire. He made his first team debut for Northampton Town, coming on as a substitute in the 90th minute, away to Premier League team Bolton Wanderers, in the 2–1 win in the League Cup on 26 August 2008. That was his only first-team appearance before Mark Cooper signed him for Conference Premier club Kettering Town before the 2009–10 season. In January 2011 he rejoined Cooper at fellow Conference club Darlington, where he signed an 18-month contract. Gregory Frank Taylor is a retired Australian senior public servant, he was head of the Department of Primary Industries and Energy between 1993 and 1996. From 1997 to 2000 Taylor was Executive Director at the International Monetary Fund. Career Taylor was appointed to his first Secretary role at the head of the Department of Employment, Education and Training in 1989. In 1993, he shifted to the Department of Primary Industries and Energy, and in 1996 to the Department of Industry, Science and Tourism. He was moved on from his role at the Department of Industry, Science and Tourism by the Howard Government at the end of 1996.
