Greenwood station is an Amtrak intercity train station in Greenwood, Mississippi, United States. It is a stop on Amtrak's ''City of New Orleans'' line. The red brick depot was built around 1917 by the Yazoo and Mississippi Valley Railroad, a subsidiary of the Illinois Central Railroad. Greenwood station is an MBTA Commuter Rail station on the Haverhill Line located in the Greenwood neighborhood of Wakefield, Massachusetts. The station consists of two side platforms serving the line's two tracks. The low-level platforms are not accessible. History The Boston and Maine Railroad (B&M) opened its line from Wilmington Junction to Boston on July 1, 1845. Greenwood station opened by the end of the decade in South Reading (later renamed Wakefield). The ticket office in the station building closed on February 22, 1952. By 1962, the former station building was relocated to the Pleasure Island amusement park for use on an antique railroad. Greenwood is a subway station on the Line 2 Bloor–Danforth in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located at the southwest corner of Linnsmore Crescent and Strathmore Boulevard just north of Danforth Avenue. The entrance, collector's booth and bus bays are at street level, with stairs and escalators to a lower concourse level which provides a passage between the platforms on the level below. The station building has two bus bays, and its bus terminal is located outside the fare-paid area. Single escalators operate in an up direction at all times. Wi-Fi service is available at this station. Greenwood opened in 1966 as part of the original segment of the Bloor–Danforth line. It is one block east of Greenwood Avenue, the closest major intersection, after which it is named. Greenwood railway station is a railway station on the Transperth network. It is located on the Joondalup line, from Perth station serving the suburb of Greenwood. History The station was originally proposed as the Hepburn station under the Northern Suburbs Transit System Masterplan in 1989 to coincide with the Hepburn Heights development. The master plan placed the station as a future station until demand of the railway and suburbs warranted the construction of the station. After being promised a number of times but not delivered, construction finally began in 2004 with the aim of reducing peak demand at the nearby Warwick and Whitfords stations, opening on 29 January 2005. Services Greenwood station is served by Transperth Joondalup line services. Greenwood station saw 611,508 passengers in the 2013–14 financial year.
