Greenwood Railway Station
Greenwood railway station is a railway station on the Transperth network. It is located on the Joondalup line, from Perth station serving the suburb of Greenwood. History The station was originally proposed as the Hepburn station under the Northern Suburbs Transit System Masterplan in 1989 to coincide with the Hepburn Heights development. The master plan placed the station as a future station until demand of the railway and suburbs warranted the construction of the station. After being promised a number of times but not delivered, construction finally began in 2004 with the aim of reducing peak demand at the nearby Warwick and Whitfords stations, opening on 29 January 2005. Services Greenwood station is served by Transperth Joondalup line services. Greenwood station saw 611,508 passengers in the 2013–14 financial year. Mitchell Freeway
The Mitchell Freeway is a freeway in the northern suburbs of Perth, Western Australia, linking central Perth with the city of Joondalup. It is the northern section of State Route 2, which continues south as Kwinana Freeway and Forrest Highway. Along its length are interchanges with several major roads, including the Graham Farmer Freeway and Reid Highway. The southern terminus of the Mitchell Freeway is at the Narrows Bridge, which crosses the Swan River, and the northern terminus is at Hester Avenue, Clarkson, a suburb within the City of Wanneroo. Planning for the route began in the 1950s, and the first segment in central Perth was constructed between 1967 and 1973. Warwick railway station is a railway station on the Transperth network. It is located on the Joondalup line, from Perth station serving the suburb of Warwick. History Prior to the commissioning of the site as a railway station, the location was originally a bus interchange known as the Warwick Bus Station. Opened in 1987, it was similar in design and appearance to facilities constructed at Mirrabooka and Rockingham for the same purpose. It provided services connecting the Perth central business district to bus routes servicing the then rapidly expanding northern suburbs. Transperth Railway Stations
Transperth is the brand name of the public transport system serving the city and suburban areas of Perth, the state capital of Western Australia. Hillarys Boat Harbour is a marina and tourist precinct located in Hillarys, north of Perth, Western Australia and on the Indian Ocean. History Hillarys Boat Harbour was the first such major marina in the north metropolitan region of Perth. Construction of the new Harbour commenced in September 1985. Protestors lay down in front of bulldozers to halt early site works. Boat launching facilities were completed in October 1986 and boats started moving into pen moorings two months later, just before the start of the 1987 America's Cup Challenge Series. Clarkson Railway Station, Perth
Clarkson railway station (officially Clarkson Station) is a commuter rail station in Clarkson, a suburb of Perth, Western Australia. It is on the Joondalup line, which is part of the Transperth network. Located in the median of the Mitchell Freeway, the station consists of an island platform connected to the west by a pedestrian footbridge. Butler Railway Station
Butler railway station (officially Butler Station) is a commuter railway station in Butler, Western Australia, a suburb of Perth. It is the terminus of the Joondalup line, which is on the Transperth commuter rail network. Planning for the Joondalup line in the Butler area began in the late 1990s. The station was built as part of a $240 million extension of the Joondalup line from Clarkson to Butler. Construction began on the station on 16 July 2012, and was completed on 16 May 2014, opening on 21 September 2014. The Joondalup line is currently being extended past Butler station to Yanchep railway station. As of November 2021, the extension is planned to open at the end of 2023. Whitfords railway station is a railway station located on the boundary of Padbury and Kingsley, suburbs of Perth, Western Australia. It is on the Joondalup railway line, which is part of the Transperth commuter rail network. It is located in the median of the Mitchell Freeway, and consists of an elevated bus interchange on top of an island platform at ground level. South of Whitfords, trains run every 5 minutes during peak. North of Whitfords, trains run every 10 minutes during peak. Between peak during the day, trains run every 15 minutes.
