Adrian Greenburg
Adrian Adolph Greenburg (March 3, 1903 â€“ September 13, 1959), widely known as Adrian, was an American costume designer whose most famous costumes were for ''The Wizard of Oz (1939 film), The Wizard of Oz'' and hundreds of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer films between 1928 and 1941. He was usually credited onscreen with the phrase "Gowns by Adrian". Early in his career he chose the professional name Gilbert Adrian, a combination of his father's forename and his own. Early life Adrian was born on March 3, 1903, in Naugatuck, Connecticut, to Gilbert and Helena (née Pollak) Greenburg. Adrian's father Gilbert was born in New York (state), New York and his mother Helena in Waterbury, Connecticut. Both sides of the family were Jewish. Joseph Greenburg and his wife Frances were from Russia, while Adolph Pollak and Bertha (née Mendelsohn) Pollak were from Bohemia and Germany, respectively. Earl Greenburg
Earl Greenburg (January 6, 1947 – February 1, 2008) was an American TV producer and former head of NBC Daytime. Early life and career Born in Philadelphia, he moved to Los Angeles in 1977, where he was working as VP of the compliance and practices department at NBC when Brandon Tartikoff picked him as VP for daytime programming in 1981. He then worked as an independent TV producer for programs including '' The Regis Philbin Show'', ''World's Wildest Police Videos'' and '' World's Scariest Police Chases''. After he left, he served as president of Home Shopping Network (HSN) in Florida and later founded Transactional Marketing Partners (TMP). Jack Carl Greenburg (January 4, 1909 – ) was a Los Angeles attorney who served as Chief Clerk of the California Assembly from 1939 to 1941. Greenburg was born in Chicago, Illinois. Jack Greenburg was the son of Jenny (Kestlinger) and Lewis Greenburg. He received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois in 1930 and his law degree from University of Southern California Law School in 1933. He served as President of the national professional commerce and law fraternity Lambda Gamma Phi in 1931. In the late 1930s, Greenburg was drawn to legislative activities in Sacramento. Greenburg served as Assistant Chief Clerk of the Assembly in 1937, under Chief Clerk James G. Smyth. Greenburg was elected Chief Clerk on January 2, 1939. Ross Greenburg (born c. 1955) was president of HBO Sports from 2000 to 2011. He was an executive producer for HBO Sports in 1985. During his tenure he won 51 Sports Emmys and 8 Peabody Awards.
