The Greece men's national under-26 basketball team is the Under-26 age men's national basketball team for Greece. It is not to be confused with the first-tier Greece men's national basketball team. The Hellenic Basketball Federation (abbreviated HBF; , abbreviated as Ε.Ο.Κ.,) is the main basketball governing body for the sport in Greece. It directs and oversees all of the national basketball teams of Greece, including both the junior and senior national teams, of both men and women. From 1969 to 1992, the E.O.K. also solely oversaw the top-tier level men's Greek National Basketball League, before its basic operation was taken over by HEBA, starting with the 1992–93 basketball season. Basketball at the Mediterranean Games has been played consistently since 1951 for men, and 1987 for women. The Yugoslavia national team, which disbanded in 1992, was the most successful men's team, while the Croatia women's national team has been the most successful in the women's competition. The Greece men's national basketball team () represents Greece in international basketball. They are controlled by the Hellenic Basketball Federation, the governing body for basketball in Greece. Greece is currently ranked 13th in the FIBA World Ranking. Greece have appeared nine times at the FIBA World Cup, with their best result coming in 2006 as runners-up, after beating the United States 101–95 in the tournament's semi-final. Greece have taken part in the EuroBasket 28 times, winning the tournament twice, while also coming away with one silver (1989), as well as two bronze medals (1949, 2009).
