Mis-Teeq
Mis-Teeq were a British girl group, consisting of Alesha Dixon, Su-Elise Nash and Sabrina Washington. They had two top-ten albums and seven consecutive top-ten singles, with chart-topping success on the UK Singles Chart as well as across Europe, Asia, Australasia and the US. The group had originally been a quartet with Zena McNally who left in January 2001. The second line-up released their debut studio album ''Lickin' on Both Sides'' on 27 October 2001, which peaked at number three on the UK Albums Chart and was certified double platinum. The album featured the group's first five singles, all of which became UK Top 10 hits, including their debut single " Why?" with McNally and " All I Want". "Style" is a song by British girl group Mis-Teeq. It was written by Stargate duo Mikkel Eriksen and Tor Erik Hermansen, along with Hallgeir Rustan, and band member Alesha Dixon for the re-release edition of their second album, '' Eye Candy'' (2003). The song contains replayed elements of "West End Girls" (1984) by English synth-pop duo Pet Shop Boys. Due to the inclusion of the sample, Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe are also credited as songwriters. The track marked the third and final single from ''Eye Candy'' and was also one of the last singles released by the group following the breakdown of their record label Telstar Records and the band's subsequent split in 2005. Ceri Evans (Sunship)
Ceri Evans, better known as Sunship, is an English record producer, DJ, remixer and jazz pianist. Evans' musical career began in 1981 as a member of the jazz-funk band Swamp Children who released the album ''So Hot'' on Factory Records in 1982. He was an original member of acid jazz band the Brand New Heavies from 1985 until his departure from the group in 1992. Evans then entered into the electronic dance music scene, producing and remixing under the alias Sunship. He released his MOBO Award-winning self-titled debut album in 1997, followed by the UK garage album ''Is This Real'' in 1998.
