Greatest Hits (Lee Ann Womack Album)
''Greatest Hits'' is the first compilation album by American country music artist Lee Ann Womack. It features eleven of her biggest hits from her first four albums, a reworking of previous album track ("Does My Ring Burn Your Finger", originally from ''I Hope You Dance'') and two new tracks: "The Wrong Girl" and "Time for Me to Go", the former of which was a top 30 hit for her in 2004, reaching #24. Also included is "Mendocino County Line", originally found on Willie Nelson's 2002 album '' The Great Divide'' but not previously included on any of Womack's albums. In 2005, the album was reissued as a DualDisc, featuring a bonus DVD, and as a hybrid SACD. Don Schlitz
Donald Alan Schlitz Jr. (born August 29, 1952) is an American country music songwriter. For his songwriting efforts, Schlitz has earned two Grammy Awards, as well as four ASCAP Country Songwriter of the Year awards. In 1993, he was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. Later in 2012, he was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. Furthermore, in 2017, he was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. During the Saturday night broadcast on June 11, 2022, Schlitz was invited by Vince Gill to become a member of the Grand Ole Opry. He will be officially inducted on August 30, 2022. Sons of the Desert was an American country music band founded in 1989 in Waco, Texas. Its most famous lineup consisted of brothers Drew Womack (lead vocals) and Tim Womack (lead guitar, background vocals), along with Scott Saunders (keyboards), Doug Virden (bass guitar, background vocals), and Brian Westrum (drums). The band released '' Whatever Comes First'' for Epic Records Nashville in 1997, and recorded a second album for Epic which was not released. ''Change'' followed in 2000.
