"51st State" is a single by New Model Army (band), New Model Army, which appeared on their 1986 album ''The Ghost of Cain''. The lyrics to the song were believed to be behind a ban by the American Musician's Union on the band, which prevented them touring the ''Ghost of Cain'' album in the United States. The track was released as a single (music), single, on EMI and reached 71 in the UK Singles Chart, spending just two weeks in the listing. It was the band's fourth appearance in that chart. Joolz Denby
Joolz Denby (born Julianne Mumford 9 April 1955, previously known simply as Joolz) is a poet, novelist, artist and tattooist based in Bradford, West Yorkshire, England. Early life Born to an Army family at Colchester Garrison, Colchester Barracks in Essex, England, Julianne Mumford moved with her parents to Harrogate, North Yorkshire at age 11. While a pupil at Harrogate Ladies' College, she started to hang around with local Outlaw biker, bikers at age 15, although she was more interested in the mechanical side of motorcycles than becoming a biker-chick. Moose Harris is a British Bassist, bass guitarist, who was known as Jason James Harris until June 2001, when he legally changed his name to reflect his former nickname and adopted professional alias of "Moose". Biography Although born in Devizes (Wiltshire, England), Harris never lived there, being raised and schooled in the Wiltshire village of Pewsey. He left Pewsey Vale School at 15, and tried several dead end jobs before beginning an apprenticeship as an electronics engineer in 1984. New Model Army are an English Rock music, rock band formed in Bradford, West Yorkshire, in 1980 by lead vocalist, guitarist and principal songwriter Justin Sullivan, bassist Stuart Morrow and drummer Phil Tompkins.
