Asbjørn Granheim
Asbjørn Granheim (born 1 January 1906 in Nord-Aurdal, died 27 January 1977) was a Norwegian politician for the Centre Party. He was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from Oppland in 1969, but and was not re-elected in 1973. He had previously served as a deputy representative during the terms 1954–1957, 1958–1961 and 1965–1969. On the local level he was a member of Nord-Aurdal Nord-Aurdal is a municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Valdres. The administrative centre of the municipality is the town Fagernes. Else Granheim
Else Granheim (16 March 1926 – 7 March 1999) was a Norwegian librarian and civil servant. A librarian and eventually director of Statens bibliotektilsyn, she was also involved in legislative work and public commissions, edited library magazines, and served as president of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions. Early and personal life Granheim was born on 16 March 1926 in Oslo to farmer Torstein Brevig and Ingeborg Hauge. After first living with her family in Enebakk, when her parents divorced, she moved with her mother to Trondheim when she was four years old. She married Harald Granheim in 1952. Tormod Granheim
Tormod Granheim (born September 17, 1974, in Trondheim, Norway) is a Norwegian adventurer and motivational speaker involved in expeditions and extreme skiing. On May 16, 2006, he made the first ski descent of Mount Everest's North Face by the Norton Couloir. Skiing Mount Everest Tormod Granheim, his Swedish partner Tomas Olsson and photographer Fredrik Schenholm approached Everest from the Tibetan side in Spring 2006. Granheim climbed the mountain from Advanced Base Camp (6400 meters above sea level) to the summit (8848 m) in a continuous 24‑hour effort, meeting Olsson en route, who spent two days covering the same ground. The route they followed, known as the Mallory route normally takes climbers five days to complete. The pair then skied into the North Face by the Norton Couloir, a 55 degree steep and nearly 3000 meter high mountain face.
