Gower ( cy, Gŵyr) electoral ward is an electoral ward in Britain. It is a ward of the City and County of Swansea, and comprises the western part of the Gower Peninsula. It lies within the UK Parliamentary constituency of Gower. The electoral ward consists of some or all of the following villages and areas: Cheriton, Horton, Knelston, Landimore, Llandewi, Llangennith, Llanmadoc, Llanrhidian, Middleton, Oldwalls, Overton, Oxwich Green, Oxwich, Penrice, Port Eynon, Reynoldston, Rhossili, Slade, Scurlage. City And County Of Swansea
Swansea (; cy, Abertawe ) is a coastal city and the second-largest city of Wales. It forms a principal area, officially known as the City and County of Swansea ( cy, links=no, Dinas a Sir Abertawe). Pen-clawdd (formerly Penclawdd) is an electoral ward in the City and County of Swansea, Wales, UK. It is named after the village of Penclawdd, which falls within the ward. The electoral ward consists of some or all of the following areas: Blue Anchor, Penclawdd, Llanmorlais, Crofty and Wernffrwd in the parliamentary constituency of Gower. Llanrhidian Lower
Llanrhidian Lower is a community in the Gower peninsula forming the west of Swansea, south Wales. The community has its own elected community council. The population was 512 as of the 2011 UK census. The area covered by the community council includes Llanrhidian village and less populous Cilibion to the east, Oldwalls, Leason, Llethryd and The Common. The main village sits well above steep coastal banks on a rolling plain below two promontories, Arthur's Stone, Gower on the peninsula's main escarpment Cefn Bryn, specifically being its western burial mound sometimes called Burnt Mound (154 metres Above Ordnance Datum); and a closer example, a small freestanding tor equally close to the coast, Cilifor Top at 118 metres. Llangennith, Llanmadoc and Cheriton is a rural community on the Gower Peninsula, Swansea, south Wales. It comprises the villages of Llangennith, Llanmadoc and Cheriton. Ilston ( cy, Llanilltud Gwyr) is the name of a village and a local government community in Swansea, southwest Wales. Ilston has its own community council. Rhossili ( cy, Rhosili; ) is both a small village and a community (Wales), community on the southwestern tip of the Gower Peninsula in Wales. Port Eynon
Port Eynon (also spelt Port Einon, Porth Einon in Welsh) is a village and Community (Wales), community within the City and County of Swansea, Wales, located on the far south tip of the Gower Peninsula within the designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The A4118 road, A4118 from Swansea city centre terminates here. The community has its own elected community council, and had a population of 597 in 2011. and includes the hamlet of Llanddewi.
