The Governor of Gyeonggi Province () is the head of the local government of Gyeonggi Province, South Korea, who is elected to a four-year term. Kim Dong-yeon
Kim Dong-yeon (; born 28 January 1957) is a South Korean politician serving as 36th governor of Gyeonggi Province since 1 July 2022. He previously served as the 4th Minister of Economy and Finance and Deputy Prime Minister from 2017 to 2018. Kim was a candidate for the 2022 South Korean presidential election as an independent, with the endorsement of Period Transition and the formation of his own Party, the New Wave. Early life After completion of high school, he worked as a banker at Seoul Trust Bank (which is now KEB Hana Bank) while completing his undergraduate degree in law at the evening school of Kookjae University. Nam Kyung-pil (born 20 January 1965; ) is a South Korean politician who served as the 34th governor of Gyeonggi Province from 2014 to 2018. Before his election, he had been a member of the National Assembly since 1998, representing Paldal-gu. In 2016, he left the Saenuri Party because of President Park Geun-hye's scandal. He helped establish the new Bareun Party with other conservative politicians who left Saenuri. Kim Moon-soo (politician)
Kim Moon-soo (Hangul: 김문수; born August 27, 1951) is a Korean conservative politician and the 32nd Governor of Gyeonggi Province in South Korea. A former labor activist, he began his career in politics when he participated in the foundation of the People’s Party in 1990. He was elected to the 15th National Assembly at Sosa-gu, Bucheon, as a candidate for the New Korea Party. After continuing to serve as a member of the assembly in the 16th and the 17th National Assemblies, he became the 4th Governor of Gyeonggi Province to be elected by popular vote in 2006. The 4th Local Elections were held in South Korea on 31 May 2006. It was the first local elections in South Korea to have political parties nominating candidates for Municipal Councillors.
