The Governor of Corrientes ( es, Gobernador de la Provincia de Corrientes) is a citizen of Corrientes Province, in Argentina, holding the office of governor for the corresponding period. The governor is elected alongside a vice-governor. Currently the governor of Corrientes is Gustavo Valdés, of the Radical Civic Union. Gustavo Adolfo Valdés (born 15 October 1968) is an Argentina, Argentine Radical Civic Union politician who is currently Governor of Corrientes Province, governor of Corrientes Province, since 10 December 2017. Previously, from 2013 to 2017, he was a Argentine Chamber of Deputies, National Deputy for Corrientes. Early life and education Gustavo Adolfo Valdés was born on 15 October 1968 in Corrientes, into a political family: his father, Manuel Valdés, was twice mayor of Ituzaingó, Corrientes, Ituzaingó, while his mother, Juana Mosqueda, was a Justicialist Party, peronist councilwoman of the same city, where Valdés was raised. Valdés joined the Radical Civic Union (UCR) when he was 15, according to himself inspired by the figure of Raúl Alfonsín. Ricardo Colombi
Ricardo Colombi (born August 30, 1957) is an Argentine lawyer and politician elected Governor of Corrientes Province in 2009. Life and times Ricardo Horacio Colombi was born in Mercedes, a Corrientes Province agricultural and cattle ranching hub at the southern end of the Esteros del Iberá wetlands. He enrolled at the National University of the Northeast and became active in the Franja Morada, the collegiate chapter of the centrist Radical Civic Union (UCR), following which he earned a Law Degree and practiced in his native Mercedes. He married Graciela Barattini in 1988. Colombi first campaigned for elected office in 1991, and was elected mayor of Mercedes that year. Oscar Raúl Aguad (born May 7, 1950) is an Argentine politician who served as the Minister of Defense from 2017 to 2019, serving in the cabinet of President Mauricio Macri. He was a member of the Chamber of Deputies from 2005 to 2015, where he became chief of the UCR bloc. Personal life Aguad was born in Córdoba to Hilda Beily and Raúl Aguad, in 1950.
