Governor Of Antique
The Governor of Antique ( krj, Gobernador kang Antique; fil, Punong Lalawigan ng Antique) is the chief executive of the provincial government of Antique province, Antique, Philippines. Like all local government heads in the Philippines, the governor is elected via first past the post, popular vote, and may not be elected for a fourth consecutive term (although the former governor may return to office after an interval of one term). In case of death, resignation or incapacity, the vice governor becomes the governor. The current governor is Rhodora Cadiao, who has been assuming the post since 2016. Rhodora Cadiao
Rhodora Javier Cadiao is a Filipina politician. She was born to Josue Lacson Cadiao, a former Governor of Antique, and Lolita Solis Javier, a former Vice Governor. Her maternal grandmother Esperanza Solis-Javier (former mayor of Culasi, Antique, Culasi, Antique province, Antique) was the first female mayor in the province. She is currently the Governor of Antique province in the Western Visayas Region. As a re-election-seeking candidate in the May 13, 2019 election under the National Unity Party (Philippines), National Unity Party, she defeated Exequiel Javier from the Liberal Party (Philippines), Liberal Party. Tobias Fornier, officially the Municipality of Tobias Fornier, ( krj, Banwa kang Tobias Fornier; hil, Banwa sang Tobias Fornier; tl, Bayan ng Tobias Fornier), is a 4th class municipality in the province of Antique, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 33,816 people. Making it 9th most populous municipality in the province of Antique. History The municipality was formerly known as Dao until 1978 when it was given its current name. It is named after a Congressman from Antique, Tobias Abiera Fornier (1902–October 31, 1964). Exequiel Bellaflor Javier (born October 16, 1946) is a Filipino politician. He has been elected to six terms as a Member of the House of Representatives, representing the Lone District of Antique from 1987 to 1998, and from 2001 to 2010. He has also served as the governor of the province of Antique. Evelio Javier
Evelio Bellaflor Javier (October 31, 1942 – February 11, 1986) was a Filipino politician. He served as governor of the province of Antique and was an opponent of the dictatorship of President Ferdinand Marcos. His assassination on February 11, 1986, was one of the causes of the People Power Revolution that overthrew Marcos. Evelio Javier's brother, Exequiel Javier, served as congressman from 1987 to 1998 and from 2001 to 2010 and governor from 1998 to 2001, and 2010 to 2015. Salvacion Ang Zaldivar-Perez, popularly known as "Inday Sally" Perez, was the Governor of the Philippine province of Antique from 2001 to 2010. Sally Perez was born to Calixto O. Calixto Oriola Zaldivar (September 13, 1904 – October 13, 1979) was a Filipino lawyer and politician who was a Supreme Court Justice from 1964 to 1974 best known in Philippine history for being one of only four dissenting voices against the constitutionality of the Philippines' 1973 constitution in the 1973 case known as Javellana v. San Jose de Buenavista, officially the Municipality of San Jose de Buenavista, ( krj, Banwa kang San Jose de Buenavista; hil, Banwa sang San Jose de Buenavista; tl, Bayan ng San Jose de Buenavista), is a 1st class municipality and capital of the province of Antique, Philippines.
