Gotham Independent Film Awards 2016
The 26th Annual Gotham Independent Film Awards, presented by the Independent Filmmaker Project, were held on November 28, 2016. The nominees were announced on October 20, 2016. Actors Ethan Hawke and Amy Adams, director Oliver Stone and producer Arnon Milchan received tribute awards. The ceremony was hosted by Keegan-Michael Key. Keegan-Michael Key
Keegan-Michael Key (born March 22, 1971) is an American actor, comedian, screenwriter, and producer. He co-created and co-starred alongside Jordan Peele in Comedy Central's sketch series ''Key & Peele'' (2012–2015) and co-starred in USA Network's '' Playing House'' (2014–2017). He spent six seasons as a cast member on ''Mad TV'' (2004–2009) and has made guest appearances on the U.S. version of ''Whose Line is it Anyway?'' on The CW. He also appeared alongside Peele in the first season of the FX series '' Fargo'' in 2014, and had a recurring role on ''Parks and Recreation'' from 2013 to 2015. Daniels (directors)
Daniel Kwan () and Daniel Scheinert, known collectively as Daniels, are American film directors and screenwriters. They began their career as directors of music videos, including the popular DJ Snake & Lil Jon music video for the single "Turn Down for What" (2013). They have since ventured into film, having written and directed the surreal comedy-drama ''Swiss Army Man'' (2016) and the science-fiction action comedy '' Everything Everywhere All at Once'' (2022). The latter became A24's highest-grossing film of all time. Careers Kwan and Scheinert met while they were both studying film at Emerson College in Boston.
