Goodbee is an unincorporated community in Saint Tammany Parish, Louisiana, United States, at the intersection of U.S. Route 190 and Louisiana Highway 1077, west of Covington. Goodbee has a signed exit on Interstate 12 to its south, at its interchange with LA 1077. Northwest of Goodbee is the start of P-Kaw-Shun Creek, the major contributory to Sims Creek. Area Code 985
Area code 985 is the telephone area code for southeastern Louisiana, excluding the inner ring of the New Orleans area. The area code was created in 2001 when it was split off from area code 504. Area code 985 also used to include areas southeast of New Orleans. However, in 2007, these areas switched back to 504. These communities are on both sides of the Mississippi River in "lower" Plaquemines Parish, including Pointe à la Hache on the east bank, with Port Sulphur, Buras, and Boothville on the west bank. The area's local switching facilities were almost destroyed due to flooding from Hurricane Katrina. Since the nearest switching facilities were in New Orleans, it was decided to put these downriver communities back in 504. Louisiana Highway 1077 (LA 1077) is a state highway located in southeastern Louisiana. It runs in a general north–south direction from a dead end at Lake Pontchartrain in Madisonville to a junction with LA 25 south of Folsom. The route traverses the length of Madisonville, a small town in St. Tammany Parish, where it travels along the Tchefuncte River and is partially concurrent with LA 21. Both routes connect Madisonville to Interstate 12 (I-12), the region's major east–west highway. North of town, LA 1077 crosses US 190 at Goodbee, a point west of Covington. Near the end of its route, LA 1077 abandons its north–south trajectory at the Tangipahoa Parish line and turns east to connect with LA 25. Covington is a city in, and the parish seat of, St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana, United States. The population was 11,564 at the 2020 United States census. Robert is an unincorporated community in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana, United States. It lies east of Hammond, at the intersection of US 190 and LA 445, from which it has a signed exit on Interstate 12. Robert is the largest settlement in Tangipahoa Parish's rural 8th ward.
