GooGoo Cluster
The Goo Goo Cluster is an American candy bar created in 1912 by Howell Campbell and the Standard Candy Company in Nashville, Tennessee. The disk-shaped candy bar contains marshmallow nougat, caramel, and roasted peanuts covered in milk chocolate. Variations include Goo Goo Supreme (pecans replace the peanuts) which was renamed the Pecan in 2019, and Peanut Butter Goo Goo ( peanut butter replaces marshmallow nougat and caramel). History Goo Goo Cluster is considered the first combination candy bar, meaning it contained several types of candy rather than an all-chocolate bar. The name is thought to refer to the sound a baby makes. The company uses the phrase, "So good, they'll ask for it from birth," in retelling the Goo Goo story. Originally, the candy was sold, unpackaged, from glass jars only in the factory's local area. The Goo Goo Dolls are an American rock band formed in 1986 in Buffalo, New York, by guitarist/vocalist John Rzeznik, bassist/vocalist Robby Takac, and drummer George Tutuska. After starting off as a cover band and then developing a punk sound, The Goo Goo Dolls experienced mainstream success following the 1995 release of their breakthrough single, "Name". The band is renowned for its biggest hit, "Iris", released in 1998. ''Goo Goo Goliath'' is a 1954 Warner Bros. ''Merrie Melodies'' directed by Friz Freleng. The short was released on September 18, 1954. Plot Presented in the mockumentary style of previous Robert C. Bruce-narrated shorts, the story focus on a giant baby that had been delivered by the drunken stork to a married couple. The giant baby escapes the couple from their house and wanders into the streets. The stork eventually delivers the giant baby to its correct parents but then delivers the married couple's actual baby (which he had delivered to the giants) to a kangaroo inside the zoo.
