Gonzalo Grau Y La Clave Secreta
Gonzalo Grau y la Clave Secreta are a jazz band which originated in Boston, Massachusetts, United States. History Gonzalo Grau was born in Caracas, Venezuela, the son of Alberto Grau and Isabel Palacios. He studied at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. He produced Osvaldo Golijov's '' La Pasión según San Marcos'' which won its nominated category at Germany's Echo Klassik Awards in 2010, and arranged several tracks on tenor Rolando Villazón's '' ¡México!'' which won an Echo Klassik award the following year. In 2011 Grau won the Young Euro Classic Composer Award, given in recognition of the best world premiere or German premiere at the festival, for his work ''Aqua''. Rolando Villazón
Rolando Villazón Mauleón (born 22 February 1972) is a Mexican operatic tenor, stage director, author, radio and television personality and artistic director. He now lives in France, and in 2007 became a French citizen. Villazón has published several books, including the novels ''Malabares'' and ''Paladas de sombra contra la oscuridad'' which have been translated into French and German. He is a member of the 'Pataphysics#The Collège de 'Pataphysique, Collège de 'Pataphysique in Paris. Early life He was raised in Ciudad Satélite, Fuentes de Satélite, a suburban area of Greater Mexico City, Mexico. The Grammy Award for Best Tropical Latin Album is an award presented at the Grammy Awards, a ceremony that was established in 1958 and originally called the Gramophone Awards, to recording artists for releasing albums in the tropical latin music genres. Contemporary R&B (or simply R&B) is a popular music genre that combines rhythm and blues with elements of pop, soul, funk, hip hop, and electronic music. Timba
Timba is a Cuban genre of music based on Cuban ''son'' with ''salsa'', American Funk/R&B and the strong influence of Afro-Cuban folkloric music. Timba rhythm sections differ from their salsa counterparts, because timba emphasizes the bass drum, which is not used in salsa bands. Timba and salsa use the same tempo range and they both use the standard conga marcha. Almost all timba bands have a trap drummer. Timbas also often break the basic tenets of arranging the music in- clave. Timba is considered to be a highly aggressive type of music, with rhythm and "swing" taking precedence over melody and lyricism. Associated with timba is a radically sexual and provocative dance style known as despelote (literally meaning chaos or frenzy).
