Golec UOrkiestra
Golec uOrkiestra is a Polish folk-rock group, founded in 1998 in the southern village of Milówka near Żywiec by twin brothers Paweł and Łukasz Golec, after whom it is named. At its inception, the group consisted of eight musicians. The band performed mostly during holidays but also in local clubs. In 1999, two more musicians were added, and in March of that year, the first album was recorded in a studio in Bielsko-Biala. In the following years, Golec uOrkiestra recorded several more albums, becoming one of the most popular folk-rock bands in the country. In an address given on June 15, 2001, at Warsaw University, president George W. Bush referenced one of the group's songs, "Sciernisco" saying "Today's own Poland's orchestra called Golec's, is telling the world, "On that wheatfield, I'm gonna build my San Francisco; over that molehill, I'm gonna build my bank." Milówka, Silesian Voivodeship
Milówka is a village in Żywiec County, Silesian Voivodeship, in southern Poland (historic province of Lesser Poland). It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Milówka. It lies It is situated in the Żywiec Beskids mountain range, approximately south-west of Żywiec and south of the regional capital Katowice. The village has a population of approximately 4,300. Francisco-Javier Lozano Sebastián (born November 28, 1943) is a Spanish prelate of the Catholic Church who has spent his career in the diplomatic service of the Holy See. He has been an archbishop since 1994 and held the title of Apostolic Nuncio to several countries until his resignation in 2015. Biography He was born to a farming family in Villaverde de Íscar on November 28, 1943. He studied at the seminary in Seville and at the Pontifical University of Salamanca. He earned his licentiate in theology in 1966 from the Pontifical Gregorian University.
