Golden Boys is a Brazilian band formed in 1958, originally a doo-wop band, having influences also of rock and roll and Brazilian rock. They are composed of brothers Roberto, Ronaldo, and Renato Corrêa José Maria (members of Trio Esperança Trio Esperança is a Brazilian vocal trio, formed in the city of Rio de Janeiro in 1958, by the siblings Mário, Regina and Evinha Correia José Maria. ''Golden Boys'' (2014) is a novel by Australian author Sonya Hartnett. It has been shortlisted for the 2015 Miles Franklin Award. Themes ''Golden Boys'' is a novel of lost childhood innocence, and the loss of societal patterns of behaviour that allowed young children to roam the streets in the late 70s and early 80s. The novel tells the story of two twelve-year-olds, Colt Jenson and Freya Kiley, who are moving out of childhood as they realise that their families have dark secrets. ''Boulton, Watt and Murdoch'' is a gilded bronze statue depicting Matthew Boulton, James Watt, and William Murdoch by William Bloye, assisted by Raymond Forbes Kings. It stands on a plinth of Portland stone. It has often been described as Messrs Lee and Longland discussing a roll of wallpaper with a customer and is also known as ''The Golden Boys'' after its colour, or ''The Carpet Salesmen'' after the partially rolled-up plan of a steam engine which they are examining. In 1939 an £8,000 bequest from Richard Wheatley, and £7,500 from the City Council, enabled the work to be created and it was unveiled in 1956, from preliminary designs drawn up in 1938. In 1956 the statue was erected temporarily outside the Birmingham Register Office which is where it stood until the statue was restored and re-gilded in September 2006. Watford () is a town and borough in Hertfordshire, England, 15 miles northwest of Central London, on the River Colne. Initially a small market town, the Grand Junction Canal encouraged the construction of paper-making mills, print works, and breweries. While industry has declined in Watford, its location near London and transport links has attracted several companies to site their headquarters in the town. In the early 1960s he was considered a teen idol. Fabian Forte (born Fabiano Anthony Forte, February 6, 1943), professionally known as Fabian, is an American singer and actor. Forte rose to national prominence after performing several times on '' American Bandstand''. He became a teen idol of the late 1950s and early 1960s. Eleven of his songs reached the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. Early life Fabian Forte is the son of Josephine and Dominic Forte; his father was a Philadelphia police officer.
