Block Out (band)
Block Out was a Serbian alternative rock band formed in Belgrade in 1990. They were one of the most notable acts of the 1990s Serbian rock scene. Originally formed under the name Ad Hoc, the band was initially hard rock-oriented, but moved towards darker, heavier sound with the arrival of guitarist and songwriter Nikola Vranjković in 1991, who would become the creative core of the band. The band's albums ''Crno, belo i srebrno'' (1994), ''Godina sirotinjske zabave'' (1996) and ''San koji srećan sanjaš sam'' (1998) featured a combination of alternative rock, grunge, metal and psychedelic sound, with Vranjković's poetic and dark lyrics about Serbian society in the years following the dissolution of Yugoslavia and artistic music videos created by the band's vocalist Milutin Jovančić "Mita". Grunge
Grunge (sometimes referred to as the Seattle sound) is an alternative rock genre and subculture that emerged during the in the American Pacific Northwest state of Washington, particularly in Seattle and nearby towns. Grunge fuses elements of punk rock and heavy metal, but without punk's structure and speed. The genre featured the distorted electric guitar sound used in both genres, although some bands performed with more emphasis on one or the other. Like these genres, grunge typically uses electric guitar, bass guitar, drums and vocals. Grunge also incorporates influences from indie rock bands such as Sonic Youth. Doom metal is an extreme subgenre of heavy metal music that typically uses slower tempos, low-tuned guitars and a much "thicker" or "heavier" sound than other heavy metal genres.K. Rock Express Top 100 Yugoslav Rock Songs Of All Times
100 najboljih pesama svih vremena YU rocka (''Top 100 Yugoslav Rock Songs of All Times'') was a list compiled by the Serbian music magazine '' Rock Express''. In 1999, ''Rock Express'' started the poll for the selection of top 100 Yugoslav rock songs. The whole list was published in the 25th issue of ''Rock Express'', in 2000. The list contains rock music songs from Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and the songs from successor states. The list Voting Every voter chose five songs, each of them receiving a vote. Audience More than 3400 readers took a part in the poll. Readers from FR Yugoslavia and other SFR Yugoslavia successor states, as well as from other countries took a part in the poll. ''Blockout'' is a puzzle video game published in 1989 by California Dreams (publishing label), California Dreams. It was developed in Poland by Aleksander Ustaszewski and Mirosław Zabłocki. Technōs Japan, American Technos published an arcade version. ''Blockout'' is an unlicensed, 3D version of ''Tetris''. Gameplay The player's perspective is that of looking down into a three-dimensional rectangular pit. Polycube blocks of various shapes appear, one at a time, and fall slowly toward the bottom of the pit. The player can use three buttons to rotate the block around any of the three Cartesian coordinate system, coordinate axes, and can also maneuver the block horizontally and vertically with a joystick. Once any part of a block comes to rest on the floor of the pit or in contact with an already-placed cube, the entire block freezes in place and can no longer be moved.
