Goat Mountain (Whatcom County)
Goat Mountain is a 6,844 ft summit in the Skagit Range which is a subset of the North Cascades of Washington state. It is located south of Mount Larrabee and north of Mount Shuksan in the Mount Baker Wilderness, which is managed by the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. Goat Mountain has a subsidiary 6,725 ft summit known as the west peak, and remnants of what was colloquially known as the Swamp Creek Glacier rest on the northern slope between the two summits. Description Goat Peak is situated in the Coast Mountains, north-northwest of Pemberton and one kilometer immediately west of Tenquille Mountain. Precipitation runoff from the mountain's slopes drains south into Wolverine Creek and west into Mowich Creek which are both tributaries of the Lillooet River; and north to Hurley River. Goat Peak is more notable for its steep rise above local terrain than for its absolute elevation as topographic relief is significant with the summit rising 2,230 meters (7,316 ft) above Lillooet River and Pemberton Valley in less than . Cayoosh Range
The Cayoosh Range is the northernmost section of the Lillooet Ranges, which are a subrange of the Pacific Ranges of the Coast Mountains in British Columbia, Canada. The range covers an area of c. 3770 km² (1455 sq mi) and is approximately 65 km (40 mi) SW to NE and about 20 km (12 mi) SE to NW. In some classification systems the Lillooet Ranges are considered to form their own group, rather than being a subdivision of the Pacific Ranges, although the Bendor Range, north of the Cayoosh Range across Anderson Lake, is classified as part of the Pacific Ranges which would tend to imply that the Cayoosh and Lillooet Ranges are as well.
