The Amity Affliction is an Australian post-hardcore band from Gympie, Queensland, formed in 2003. The band's current line-up consists of Ahren Stringer (bass guitar, vocals), Joel Birch (vocals), Dan Brown (guitar) and Joe Longobardi (drums). The Amity Affliction is an Australian metalcore band from Gympie, Queensland, formed in 2003. ''High Hopes'' is the third EP by Australian metalcore band the Amity Affliction. The first pressing came in a CD/DVD package with subsequent pressings lacking the DVD. It marks a shift in the band's sound, with the addition of keyboard and samples, as well as acoustic sections. Pure Noise Records is an American punk rock record label based in Nashville, Tennessee. It was founded by Jake Round in 2009 while he was an editor at ''AMP''; the previous fall, friends of his in the band No Bragging Rights told him they were looking for a new label, and Round expressed interest in releasing the album himself. Prior to this Round had a short stint as an intern at Fat Wreck Chords. While the label began as a home operation, and had only put out five albums by the end of 2010, by 2014 some of the label's roster were main-stage acts at Warped Tour, and others had sold nearly 50,000 copies of their albums. Boomtown Records was an independent record label founded by Jaddan Comerford in October 2002 and based in Melbourne, Australia. In 2011 the label was rebranded with Staple Management to new company, UNFD. History The label was established by Jaddan Comerford when he was 18, after being inspired by thriving independent labels like Epitaph Records. After operating the label out of his basement, Comerford moved into an office building in 2005.
