Glen Benton
Glen Benton (born June 18, 1967) is an American death metal musician. He is best known as the lead vocalist and bassist for the death metal band Deicide and was also a part of the band Vital Remains, where he has performed in recording sessions as well as live with them on a few occasions. He is known for very low guttural growls as well as very high shrieks. Biography Benton was born in Niagara Falls, New York but was raised in Tampa, Florida. It was here on July 21, 1987, after guitarist Brian Hoffman replied to Benton's advertisement in a local music magazine, Deicide was formed. Within days the band, consisting of Benton (bass/vocals), Hoffman, Hoffman's brother Eric (guitars) and Steve Asheim (drums), was named "Amon", after the Egyptian deity. Within a month, Amon had recorded the crude ''Feasting the Beast'' 8-track demo in Benton's garage and had started playing the occasional gig in the Tampa area. Glen Walshaw (born 25 July 1976) is a Zimbabwean former swimmer, who specialized in sprint and middle-distance freestyle events. He is a double medalist at the All-Africa Games (1999), and later represented Zimbabwe at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. For almost thirteen years, Walshaw currently holds a Zimbabwean record in the 200 m freestyle. While studying in the United States, he received two All-American honors in the freestyle relay as a member of the Alabama Crimson Tide swimming and diving team. At the 1999 All-Africa Games in Johannesburg, South Africa, Walshaw won a total of two medals: a silver medal in the 200 m freestyle (1:55.85) and bronze in the 400 m freestyle (4:09.65). Glen Saville (born 17 January 1976) is an Australian former professional basketball player who played the majority of his career for the Wollongong Hawks of the National Basketball League (NBL). NBL career Born in Bendigo, Victoria, Saville moved to Canberra in 1993 to attend the Australian Institute of Sport on a two-year basketball scholarship. Glen Anthony Rice Jr. (born January 1, 1991) is an American professional basketball player for Brillantes del Zulia of the Superliga Profesional de Baloncesto (SPB). He has received commissions from the Children’s Theater of Minneapolis, Berkeley Repertory Theatre, the Alley Theatre, and the Lookingglass Theater.
