Giosuè Argenti (February 7, 1819 in Viggiù, Province of Varese – November 29, 1901) was an Italian sculptor. Life He trained at the Accademia di Belle Arti of Milan, where he worked along with Abbondio Sangiorgio, Francesco Somaini, Benedetto Cacciatori, and the painter Luigi Sabatelli. His most influential teacher at the academy was Pompeo Marchesi. After six years of study in Rome, winning stipends to pay for his stay, he returned to the academy in Milan. Argenti was passed the "Sculpture Chair" at the Brera Academy from Giovanni Strazza in 1875. Giosuè Alessandro Giuseppe Carducci (; 27 July 1835 – 16 February 1907) was an Italian poet, writer, literary critic and teacher. He was very noticeably influential, and was regarded as the official national poet of modern Italy. In 1906, he became the first Italian to receive the Nobel Prize in Literature. Bishop Giosuè Cattarossi was a late 19th century/early-mid 20th century Italian cleric. Born 23 April 1863 at Cortale, he was ordained a priest in April 1888, aged 24. On 11 April 1911 at the age of 48, he was appointed as Bishop of Albenga and ordained on 30 May of that year. On 21 November 1913 at age 50, he was appointed as Bishop of Belluno e Feltre, Italy. Giosuè Edoard Sangiovanni (15 January 1775 – 17 May 1849) was an Italian zoologist, the first professor of comparative anatomy in Italy and an early exponent of evolution. Born at Laurino in the kingdom of Naples, he followed his education in philosophy and mathematics at Naples with medical study at the Ospedale degli Incurabili there. With the fall of the Napoleonic Neapolitan Republic of 1799, Sangiovanni fled to exile in Paris. There, during the Napoleonic Empire he was a pupil of the prominent French zoologists Jean-Baptiste de Lamarck. In his distinguished career Sangiovanni was enrolled as a Chevalier of the Legion of Honor. Sangiovanni was supportive of Lamarck and Erasmus Darwin's evolutionary ideas.
