Ginni Clemmens
Virginia Mae "Ginni" Clemmens (February 28, 1936 – February 15, 2003) was an American folk musician and songwriter in the genres of women's music and children's music. She was inducted into the Chicago LGBT Hall of Fame in 2021. Early life and education Clemmens was born in Evergreen Park, Illinois, and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, the daughter of Glenn Edward Clemmens and Dorothy Cleo Groves Clemmens (later Friday). Her father was a big band musician and World War II veteran; her parents divorced in 1946, and both remarried. She attended high school and trained as a nurse in California. Career Clemmens worked as a pediatric nurse in California, and sometimes played her guitar or banjo for her young patients. Back in Chicago, she taught guitar and banjo classes at the Old Town School of Folk Music. She performed in folk clubs and at music festivals and benefit concerts from the 1950s through the 1980s. She became famous with her songs ''Fan Baba Sahib Di'' and ''Danger Chamar'' that went viral on social media. Ginni Mansberg (born 1968 in Sydney, Australia) is a General Practitioner and television presenter in Australia. Virginia Marie "Ginni" Rometty (born July 29, 1957) is an American business executive who served as executive chairman of IBM after stepping down as CEO on April 1, 2020. She previously served as chairman, president and CEO of IBM, becoming the first woman to head the company. She retired from IBM on December 31, 2020, after a near-40 year career at IBM. Virginia "Ginni" Thomas ( Lamp; born February 23, 1957) is an American attorney and conservative activist. In 1987, she married Clarence Thomas, who became an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States in 1991. Her conservative commentary and activism have made her a controversial figure, especially because spouses of Supreme Court justices typically avoid politics. Clarence Thomas (born June 23, 1948) is an American jurist who serves as an associate justice of the Supreme Court of the United States. He was nominated by President George H. W. Bush to succeed Thurgood Marshall and has served since 1991. Ginni van Katwijk (born 1985) is a Dutch high diver. Career Van Katwijk dove at the University of Houston. She began diving as a performer on Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines after graduation. She made her Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series debut in Saint-Raphaël, France in 2021, becoming the first diver from the Netherlands, as well as the first married couple, with husband Matt Cooper, to compete at the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series. Van Katwijk placed fifth in high diving at the 2022 European Aquatics Championships.
