Giants In The Trees
Giants in the Trees is an American rock band formed in Wahkiakum County, Washington, in 2017. The band was formed by former Nirvana bassist and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Krist Novoselic, who created the band as a local musical project. Novoselic, Jillian Raye, Erik Friend, and Ray Prestegard are the current band members of Giants in the Trees. Often, Jennifer Johnson joins on vocals. History The band started by writing two songs in the first two days of playing together; "Sasquatch" and "Center of the Earth". "Sasquatch" was their first officially released song, in July 2017; it was released alongside a music video that Krist joked as "costing over 2 million U.S. dollars to produce." Void was an American hardcore punk band formed in Columbia, Maryland, in 1980. The group was a pioneering force in the thriving D.C. Kim Thayil
Kim Anand Thayil (born September 4, 1960) is an American musician best known as the lead guitarist of the Seattle-based rock band Soundgarden, which he co-founded with singer Chris Cornell and bassist Hiro Yamamoto in 1984. Cornell and Thayil remained as the original members of the band until Cornell's death in 2017, and the band's subsequent split in 2018. Matt Cameron
Matthew David Cameron (born November 28, 1962) is an American musician who is the drummer for the rock band Pearl Jam. He first gained fame as the drummer for Seattle-based rock band Soundgarden, which he joined in 1986. He appeared on each of the band's studio albums until its break-up in 1997. In 1998, Cameron was invited to join Pearl Jam's U.S. Yield Tour and then became a permanent member of the band. In 2010, Cameron became simultaneously a member of Pearl Jam and the reunited Soundgarden. He remained with Soundgarden until its disbandment after the death of lead singer Chris Cornell in 2017. 3rd Secret is an American alternative rock supergroup formed in late 2021. It features members of the grunge bands Soundgarden, Nirvana, and Pearl Jam. The band's lineup includes bass guitarist/accordionist Krist Novoselic of Nirvana, drummer Matt Cameron of Pearl Jam and Soundgarden, guitarists Kim Thayil of Soundgarden and Jon "Bubba" Dupree of Void, and vocalists Jillian Raye and Jennifer Johnson. A supergroup is a musical group whose members are successful as solo artists or as members of other successful groups. The term became popular in the late 1960s when members of already successful rock groups recorded albums together, after which they normally disband. Krist Anthony Novoselic (; ; born May 16, 1965) is an American musician and activist. He was the bassist and co-founder of the rock band Nirvana. Novoselic and Kurt Cobain formed the band Nirvana in 1987 along with drummer Aaron Burckhard, whom they recruited. Through the late 1980s, Nirvana established themselves as part of the Seattle grunge scene and in 1989 they released their debut album ''Bleach''.
