Giannini Automobili S.p.A. is an Italian Car tuning, tuning company and a former producer of cars. Their focus has mainly been on Fiat cars. It was founded in 1920 by brothers Attilio Giannini, Attilio and Domenico Giannini. The company headquarters are in Rome, Italy. History Origins Founded in 1885 as a garage, in 1922 Giannini became part of Itala (company), Itala's service network. Through this collaboration and the skills acquired thereby, Giannini was able to enter and win its class with an Itala Tipo 61 in the first edition of the Mille Miglia (1927), commissioned by Marquis Pellegrini. 1930s Giannini expanded their scope during the 1930s by working on smaller cars, in particular the popular Fiat 500 "Topolino". Giannini is a Brazilian musical instruments manufacturing company, based in Salto, São Paulo. Products currently manufactured by Giannini include electric, steel-string acoustic, nylon-string acoustic and bass guitars. Other string instruments include craviolas, cavaquinhos, viola caipiras and mandolins. Giannini also manufactures bowed string instruments such as violins, cellos and double basses, and strings for those instruments. History The company was founded in 1900 by Tranquillo Giannini (1876–1952), an Italian immigrant with luthier talents. Their first industrial plant was located at Av. Giannini Hall is a historic building in Berkeley, California, on the campus of the University of California, Berkeley. It was built in 1930 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. History Giannini Hall was built in 1930, the gift of Amadeo Giannini, founder of the Bank of Italy (United States), Bank of Italy (later Bank of America), who endowed the Giannini Foundation of Agricultural Economics at the university in 1928. The building was designed by William Charles Hays, a faculty member, and was dedicated on October 21, 1930. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on March 25, 1982, along with 16 other sites on the Berkeley campus. The Giannini Foundation Of Agricultural Economics
The Giannini Foundation of Agricultural Economics was founded in the 1920s from a $1.5 million gift to the University of California from the Bancitaly Corporation in honor of its founder, A.P. Giannini. This fund has now grown to $20 million that is used to promote and support research on the economics of California agriculture. Members, which include faculty from various University of California campuses, may apply for grants to conduct research on California's agricultural economy and development. The findings are often reported in numerous publications. Giannini Sextuplets
The Giannini sextuplets (born 11 January 1980) are a set of sextuplets born to Rosanna Caviglia Giannini and Franco Giannini at the hospital in Villa Medici at Careggi, Florence, Italy. They were the second set of sextuplets in the world to survive past infancy, and the first surviving sextuplets to be born in Europe. The Giannini sextuplets were born six years to the date after the Rosenkowitz sextuplets, the first surviving sextuplets on record. The sextuplets are made up of four boys and two girls.
