Ghani (2006 Film)
''Ghani'' ( bn, ঘানি) or ''The Cycle'' is a 2006 Bangladeshi film directed by Kazi Morshed. A G''hani'' is a large bullock driven oil mill. The film won National Film Awards in 11 categories. Plot Afsu and Shamsu are two brothers living under the rule of a local landlord. Afsu leaves the business of bullock driven oil mill for his old age complications but Shamsu continues it due to poverty. Shamsu along with his son Bozlu engaged in their forefathers' traditional business in full swing. In the meantime, Bozlu married Moyna. Their lives start revolving around the Ghaani (oil mill). One night, the bullock was stolen from their house by some thieves. They now use Moyna to spin the treadle. Dolly Zahur
Dolly Zohur (born 17 July 1953) is a Bangladeshi film, television and stage actress. She received Bangladesh National Film Awards 2 times - as the Best Actress and the Best Supporting Actress for her roles in the films '' Shonkhonil Karagar'' and '' Ghani'' (2006) respectively. Early life and education Johur began acting at a very young age. Her brother took her try out for different acting jobs when they were young. She attended University of Dhaka, where she got involved with theater. During that time, she was enrolled at Natyachakra and Chhayanaut. Asaduzzaman Mohammad Raisul Islam (known as Raisul Islam Asad; born 15 July 1953) is a Bangladeshi freedom fighter and an actor in radio, theatre, television and film.
