"Get By" is the debut single by Canadian country music artist Tim Hicks, released in December 2012 from his 2013 debut album, '' Throw Down''. Hicks co-wrote the song with Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley of Florida Georgia Line, Neil Sanderson of Three Days Grace, Casey Marshall and Shawn Hamm. It peaked at number 57 on the Canadian Hot 100 in March 2013. "Get By" was the number one selling country song in Canada for seventeen weeks. Sales of the single surpassed 100,000 units in less than eight months. It was certified gold by Music Canada in June 2013. Tim Hicks (born August 22, 1979) is a Canadian country music singer-songwriter from St. Catharines, Ontario. Since he released his debut single "Get By" in 2012, he has charted eighteen top ten hits on the Canada Country chart. Hicks’ catalogue of releases include: '' Throw Down, 5:01, Shake These Walls,'' and ''New Tattoo.'' Hicks has earned four nominations for the JUNO Awards. He has also won a CCMA Award, earned two platinum selling singles, seven gold singles (including " Loud"), one gold album, and two No. 1 chart topping singles " What A Song Should Do", and " No Truck Song". Thorold
Thorold is a city in Ontario, Canada, located on the Niagara Escarpment. It is also the seat of the Regional Municipality of Niagara. The Welland Canal passes through the city, featuring lock 7 and the Twin Flight Locks. History The first survey of Thorold, or Township 9 as it was known then, occurred in 1788. The earliest communities in what is now Thorold emerged at Beaverdams, DeCew Falls and St. Johns but, after the opening of the First Welland Canal in 1829, they were superseded by the new canal villages of Thorold, Allanburg and Port Robinson.
