Germany's Next Topmodel, Cycle 1
Germany's Next Topmodel Cycle 1 is the first season of ''Germany's Next Topmodel'' (often abbreviated to GNTM) that aired on German television network ProSieben. The show started airing on 25 January 2006 with twelve girls in the competition. 18-year-old Lena Gercke came off as this season's winner. She became a successful model after the show and the host of Austria's Next Topmodel. IMG Models manages the winner and also managed first runner-up and second runner-up for one year. The first season copied many photo shoot ideas from ''America's Next Top Model'', especially from the first season. It has also gone with almost three episodes with a double-elimination for the models. The show was hosted by top model Heidi Klum. The international destinations for this cycle were New York City, Los Angeles and Paris. ProSieben
ProSieben (, ''sieben'' is German for "seven"; often stylized as Pro7) is a German free-to-air television network owned by ProSiebenSat.1 Media. It was launched on 1 January 1989. It is Germany's second-largest privately owned television company. Although ProSieben produces some of its programming itself, it also airs many American imports. On 3 May 2012, the network launched a pay-TV channel called ProSieben Fun. A third channel called ProSieben Maxx started broadcasting on 3 September 2013. The three different feeds of the channel are: ProSieben (for Germany), ProSieben Austria (for Austria), and ProSieben Schweiz (for Switzerland and Liechtenstein). Joachim Baldauf (* 20 July 1965 in Weiler, Germany) is a German photographer and publisher. He currently lives in Berlin.
